Is anyone having problems with Turbotax pulling the wrong information (State withholding) in the Alabama return?

Go back to where you entered it like on a W2 or 1099R.   Check the amount and that you picked the right state.   You may have to delete the W2 or 1099R etc, and enter it again Manually.  That usually clears it out.

I tried that and it still is incorrect.

is there a way to file a trouble ticket to make the software change required?

Yes we do investigations and the software development team corrects problems. However, I have looked through all investigations and see nobody else has mentioned the issue. You could be the first or you could have a corrupted cache holding the wrong information. Follow these steps:

Online version:

1. Delete the forms with the state tax withholding- if possible, see How to Delete  
2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
   • Don't use Internet Explorer.
   • Clear cache and cookies,
   • Sign in using a different browser.
   • Sign in using a different device.
3. Log back into your return.
   • Enter the information again.

Desktop version: 

1. Delete the forms with state withholding
2. Save your return while closing the program.
3. Update the program
4. Open
5. Enter the information again.

If it is still incorrect, delete AL return and the forms and try again. 

If this doesn't work, you can come back here or contact support. so they can actually see the issue.
