I started a new job with a $13K annual pay increase. I just received my first paycheck and the fed tax deduction is $600/mo. more than my previous job. Is this right?

What will your annual salary be?

It could be right. Did you fill out a new W4 when you started? Are you just comparing the federal income tax or including the FICA (SS & Medicare)?
