Please note that if you have a Form W-2 showing wages earned in Puerto Rico in Box 15 (displayed as “PR”), TurboTax does not support state tax returns from Puerto Rico. You can still file your federal and Georgia tax returns; however, you would need to file the Puerto Rico state return directly with the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Please see the following IRS publication for more information on filing a return with the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico: http://www.irs.gov/publications/p570/ch03.html.
I have a question. I live in Puerto Rico but I’m a therapist and all my clients are in Georgia, therefore I get paid out of Georgia. Do I need to file Georgia state tax or just federal? Can I file using turbo tax because I don’t have any work for Puerto Rico. The only thing I have is a house in Puerto Rico
