Monthly advance payment of premium tax credit is zero. How do I enter zero?

As of right now, you can't if you are using TurboTax.  It is 'bug' in the program.

Once the 'bug' is fixed, in most cases you need to leave it blank (don't enter zero).

Yes! It is a bug. It was driving me crazy until I saw this post.

Finally came across this post too.  Several "superuser" suggested deleting the form and using blanks instead of zero.  Did all combination of deleting and re-entering the form and answering the questions differently too.  Still have the same error, and this post confirms the error.  For Jan-April, I paid the premium in full, so columns B and C are zero, but column A was 100%.  Life change event occurred in May-Dec and a subsidy was given.  Turbo Tax Deluxe repeatedly error out on Jan-April where I couldn't put zeros in columns B or C, nor would it take blanks.

Monthly advance payment of premium tax credit is zero. How do I enter zero?

I ended up putting in 0.01 for every month in Column C so that I could continue. I did this so I wouldn't owe any money back to the exchange like it said when I entered in 1 for every field in column C. It is supposed to be zero in every field in Column C according to my form I got from the exchange. I have the Premier edition, but it looks like it's a problem with every version.

I came across this bug as well. It is impossible to move forward with blanks or zeros. The $0.01 idea worked, although I wish I could enter the information accurately. In the end though, it rounds down to $0, so I don't think it's a problem.

So if this is a known bug, why isn't Turbo Tax fixing it pronto.  Isn't that what we pay for?  At the very least, they should be providing specific information to every subscriber that has paid.

I follow the answer on this tax deadline day (April 17, 2018), and the e-filing has just been accepted by the IRS.

Hi - I saw that this was a bug that isn't going to be fixed on 4/28. But I was able to enter 0.01 in column 3 of the interview method which let me continue to the next page.  Then switched to forms method and overwrote my 0.01 with 0.00 and it worked fine for me.

In column C you can leave the data entry fields blank ... do not enter anything.

But you must put a figure in column B ... so if your 1095-A doesn't have an amount you will need to get it from the ACA website ... fill in the info here to get the Second lowest cost Silver plan (SLCSP)  amount you need to enter for every month you had insurance ...   https://www.healthcare.gov/tax-tool/#/

I had the same issue, and called an agent at TurboTax to help fix it. It turns out, my form had around 33 different instances of "zeroes." I had to enter them one at a time and kept hitting enter, until at last, I reached the end and was able to move forward with my application. The problem is, you have no idea where you are in the process, because it doesn't show which particular box you are on as you go...but I kept at it and it worked for me.
