How do I enter direct Deposit information in Turbotax and the print the forms for mailing?

Direct deposit bank routing and account numbers are entered in the File section of the program on Step 2 when you have a tax refund.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for printing a tax return for mailing - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online...
Thanks but that did not answer my question. It seems you can only enter direct deposit and you e-file.
So I had to go down the e-file route to enter the direct deposit info for the State. When I got to "preview" I saved the document, then went to print for my records. I printed to a PDF and now the direct deposit info shows up. It seems that Turbo Tax is trying to get you to e-file for the states and pay for the file, which I get, but.......

Yes, you can have a direct deposit of a tax refund if you are printing and mailing the tax return, it does not need to be e-filed for a direct deposit.
If you have taxes owed you cannot have a direct debit from a bank account if mailing the tax return, it can only be e-filed for a direct debit.
Since you are mailing you could have just written in the bank info by hand on the form.
That is not correct. Turbotax notes "Your printed state tax forms may have special formatting on them such as bar codes or other symbols. This is to enable fast processing. ..." and there is no place for entering direct deposit information or any other information other than signatures and dates. Either Turbotax is making it difficult for people to file a paper return and receive a direct deposit or they have embedded the information in the bar code and neglected to inform their customers that they have done so. I've saved the documents both after saying I was going to efile and also after saying I was going to mail them and nothing is different. I did find the direct deposit info on the "Ohio Information Worksheet under part VIII, Keep for Records - Do Not File" when I selected to print "Tax Return, all calculation worksheets". After decades of using Turbotax I'm very disappointed.
I tried tricking it by saying that I was going to efile and entering the direct deposit info but it still did not put the direct deposit information on the Ohio state tax form. It says in the filing instructions that the refund will be direct deposited and provides the account information. It also has the information in the worksheets if you print all the worksheets. I am hoping that it is embedded in the bar code but Turbotax does not explicitly say it is. I will keep searching for confirmation unless someone from Turbotax can confirm that here.
Many states don't have a way to allow, or enable Direct Deposit of a Refund on the paper-Mailed tax forms.
I don't see DDeposit capability on the standard OH PDF tax forms, and I doubt they are on the software-generated forms for paper-mailing either....BUT perhaps @Hal_Al knows for sure, and will correct me.
That's my understanding: direct deposit is not available with a mailed in Ohio return. I Haven't verified that recently. I just remember giving up the last time I tried!
I successfully used the state of Ohio ifile to electronically file my taxes with direct deposit information and the form followed the Turbotax form (basically) exactly. Some of the questions before I got to the final form/draft initially seemed daunting until I realized they matched up with the lines on the form generated by Turbotax.
Indeed, the Ohio 2022 IT 1040 instructions says in page 5:
Direct deposit of individual income and school district income tax refunds is not available to paper filers.
The alternative to file electronically using the OH| TAX eServices does allow direct deposit. Some of the Yes/No answers to the wizard are not always obvious, but the rest can be obtained from the TurboTax State Return. Getting the same refund amount as TurboTax is a good sign.
2023 instructions (page 5):
• Direct deposit is not available to paper filers.
• You can pay online even when filing by paper. See
tax.ohio.gov/pay for more information.
I agree. Intuit is NOT helpful when it comes to adding the direct deposit information into the state form. Clearly, it is for the purpose of upselling efiling.
I found another work around. At least this worked for my Utah state filing form. In the top drop-down menu, select View -> Forms. In the left side-bar navigation, scroll down to find your state tax form. For Utah, line 44 is titled "Remaining Refund Direct Deposit". I was able to type in my routing number, account number and select the type of account (ex: checking). After closing the form, I then went back to the "File" tab and "Print/Save for your Records" subtab and the direct deposit information appeared in my printable forms.
