Using Turbo tax online to file a tax return for a dependent child, under "my info", one of the questions,  should I click yes or no? 

'I am an adult (at least 18 years old) preparing this return for a child.

The return is for the dependent child, why does this question here? I am preparing a return for the dependent child, but the child is the "taxpayer" of the tax return. Who is "I" referring to?

That is a literal question about the age of the person using Turbotax  to prepare the return.

probably a Turbotax requirement due to the accuracy guarantee 

since you are preparing it for your dependent who is evidently under 18 the answer is yes if you want to proceed.
