We are residents of Florida.( snow birds 7 months of the year) our condo was damaged by Hurricane Ian in 2022. The rebuild took most of 2023.
We put the condo up for sale and it sold in Feb 2024. We have moved to our other home in Missouri .
When i put the new address on my tax forms, it wants to know when we moved, but won't accept and date outside of 2023.
Any date in 2023 will require us to file Missouri tax even though we weren't Missouri residents in 2023. How can I show my current address without a move date in 2023?

You are being asked this in the Federal portion of the return, correct? I wonder if you put 12/31/2023 if you would bypass this. Regardless, if the Missouri return comes up, you do not have to complete it, you can say you do not want to file the state return or delete the state all together. You will not be required to fill the state return.
