Why is Turbo Tax asking me who I inherited this IRA from? I did not inherit anything.

I took an early withdraw from my 401k but TT is forcing me to answer who I inherited this IRA from.  Where is this coming from?  I cannot proceed without answering either Spouse or Someone else who passed away.

What is the code in box 7 of the Form 1099-R?

Box 7 has "1" entered and IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is UNchecked.

Code 1 - Early distribution, no known exception (in most cases, under age 59½).

After you completed entering the Form 1099-R there are a series of screens asking questions.  On the screen labeled Do any of these situations apply to you?  Make sure that you checked the box None of these apply

You stated the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is not checked.  However, you would not have been presented with this screen if it was not checked.  Go back to the Form 1099-R and verify that the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is Not checked if in fact this was not from an IRA.

I have done this a couple of times.  I gave up and deleted everything.  I started over.  That seems to have cleared that problem.  It's presented another problem but I'll deal with that one in the same manner I suppose.
