Where do I input my federal and state tax withholding from my Roth IRA?

If you were issued a Form 1099-R, the federal taxes withheld is shown in box 4.

To enter the withholding into TurboTax, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Turbotax
  2. Once you are in your account, click on Federal>Wages and Income> Retirement Income>Forms 1099-R
  3. The template will direct you to the screen that displays the Form 1099-R input boxes
  4. Enter the Federal taxes withheld reflected in Box 4
  5. Enter the state withholding shown in box 12
