If you were issued a Form 1099-R, the federal taxes withheld is shown in box 4.
To enter the withholding into TurboTax, follow these steps:
- Sign in to Turbotax
- Once you are in your account, click on Federal>Wages and Income> Retirement Income>Forms 1099-R
- The template will direct you to the screen that displays the Form 1099-R input boxes
- Enter the Federal taxes withheld reflected in Box 4
- Enter the state withholding shown in box 12
