Delete the 1099-R and enter it manually. Imports often have errors.
Tried that already, reoccurs even after manual input. Should I attempt something like adding a decimal after the 7, such as 7.0?
Gave the 'sad face' (didn't go well) response after my session. A little surprised to have Turbo Tax ask if someone could call be to discuss why I posted that. Sure! Had a very helpful tech work with me via an online video chat. Discovered that my inputting $0.00 in the blank spaces created the problem. Bottom line for a good answer to my issue: If you cannot upload a PDF, or have the financial institution responsible for supplying your documents to fill it in automatically, and YOU choose to type in the info yourself, DO NOT add nothing other than whole numbers/positive dollar amounts where applicable. Don't add zero dollars ($0.00). It seems to work fine if imported/uploading documents with zero dollar amounts so you don't need to delete them.
I am not sure what you are trying to do. You do not "enter" anything in box 7, you select the code from the pull down menu.
Are you using the online or CD/download version?
