SSA-1099-SM includes amount paid in 2019 for 2018

I don't understand what you want where it says "Enter the amount in box 5 of your Form SSA-1099 and/or Form RRB-1099 received in 2018 and already reported on your 2018 return (This is not common)..  It looks like you want what I entered from my 2018 SSA-1099 form.. since that is not uncommon I think you may want something else???

SSA-1099-SM includes amount paid in 2019 for 2018

From time to time your Social Security is delayed and it will carry over into the next year.  The SSA-1099-SM is reporting that exact event.

If you got the full payment stated on the form in 2019 there is nothing additional to report.  If a part or all of the income noted on the statement was actually received in 2018 (This is unusual) it would be posted in that area.
