Shouldn't there be a supporting schedule for social security taxable portion?

No, there is not a supporting schedule.  It is just a Worksheet. The taxable amount from the worksheet is reported directly on form 1040 line 5b instead of a schedule

Yes, there is a Social Security Benefits Worksheet.  The worksheet is available in the Print Center if you choose the option "Include government and TurboTax worksheets"
