I have a 1099-B Form for a short sale that was a profit of about $13, but all the fields on the 1099-B are 0.00. Do I still need to report this form in my taxes?

13 not equal to zero, so which is it?.

all the other fields zero but gain of 13 makes no sense

If you have any sell transaction  in 2020 you have to report it on your tax return.

Closing a short sale in 2020  is also reported

Is $13 a dividend you had to pay while being short stock?

There are special rules for that situation.

Nope, the $13 was not a dividend. It was only because the stock price was slightly higher when I sold it than what it was when I purchased it.

if you know the cost and proceeds, enter those amounts from your own records.

date acquired is the date you closed the short sale.

date disposed is two business days later (settlement).
