What type of Form 1099, there are almost two dozen different types?  Form 1099-MISC, Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-G, Form 1099-B, Form 1099-B, Form 1099-S, Form 1099-INT, etc....

What kind of 1099?  1099R, 1099G, 1099Misc, `1099NEC, etc.   They have until Feb 1 to send it to you.  Please wait for it.  Don't be in a rush to file.

Even if Turbo Tax lets you submit your return they will just hold all the returns until the IRS opens filing on Jan 27, 2021 or later. So there is no hurry. And a lot of people who file early find out they have to amend later like when they get their actual W2 and 1099 forms. Or they get more forms than they were expecting or forgot about.

What kind of 1099?  There are over a dozen kinds.  If you mean a 1099NEC or 1099Misc you get it by the end of January from whoever you performed work or service for.  If you mean 1099R, 1099DIV, 1099B, etc. etc. most financial institutions have those available by the end of January or by about mid-February.  Social Security will mail out SSA1099's in January.
