Are you running a business yourself? Individuals do not issue 1099NEC's or 1099Misc forms----who did you pay and for what?
I have been looking it up and I guess I need to do a W9 for the person that worked for me is that correct? I haven't had anyone work for me before this is my first time I jave had to deal with this.
And...you have not answered an important question. Are YOU running a business?
Well I guess that would go without saying so do you know or not?
@mavrick0987 you can issue 1099s using TurboTax Self-Employed.
You'll need the name, address and social security number or EIN of the contractor that you paid.
You only need to issue the 1099 if you are an employer. If you are a private citizen just paying someone to do work on your home you do not need to issue a 1099.
Thank you
