Try deleting the 1099-B and re-entering, or if you imported it, re-import.
I'm having the same problem, and re-entering the form did not help.
I am also having the same error. When I do my "final check" it appears to require me to make corrections or pick from dropdown boxes on the 1099-B Worksheets. The dropdowns do not work, and I have no way of telling what corrections they are asking for.
I tried it in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and on my Android Phone app...all had the same error/issue. Its literally the last thing I need to correct before filing my returns this year. Has anybody had success with a different browser? Is Intuit working to correct this software flaw?
I finally got it to work. Delete your current 1099-B form by going to Tools on the lefthand side. Then MANUALLY enter in the 1099-B form. I didn't have this "Check" come up after that. I think it's TurboTax's software the is incorrectly filling the form.
After wrestling with this for a while and trying to delete and reimport I found an easy fix.
No need to delete and reimport or manually enter. Just go back to the actual taxes section of TurboTax and don't try to use the useless iframed javascript "review" tool.
The problem many users seem to be having is not how to delete the 1099-B form, rather how to delete incorrect entries on an imported form that contain errors. The errors I have spotted have generally been one of two types. The first type of error occurs when both acquisition date and sell date are identical, the gain/loss is $0, yet the dates are in the current calendar year, not the tax year. The error is due to dates being in the current calendar year. A second type of error is when basis is not provided. This occurs when the basis is so small (<$1) that it appears on the imported statement as "NA", not applicable. You can identify and move to the problem entries by allowing Turbo Tax to check your entries. Then, as each is identified, double-click on the "Error" button at the top-left of the screen. That will move you to the offending entry so you can check it. I have been unable to find a way to remove the entries, but I simply alter the dates to the tax year. This has no impact on taxes since the gain/loss is $0. I make a similar edit for the entries where basis is not shown and gain/loss is $0--i.e., I set the basis to $0. It's a pain to do this for every incorrect entry, and Turbo Tax should instruct users about how to remove incorrect entries. I hope this help someone else. It took some time for me to investigate and then to apply these fixes.
Addendum to my previous entry. I think you may have to be in "view forms" mode to do what I was suggesting. I have completed my taxes and don't want to revisit to ascertain steps to get to the edit screen.
One more addendum in case this is helpful to others. Information on basis (and other information) can be found on your tax reporting and supplemental statements from your brokerage firm. You can typically download an electronic copy of those forms so that you can search for specific character strings--either the name of a security or an amount--to quickly locate information on the 1099-B worksheet entry that is flagging an error.
