Connecting to this account has been trouble free for years but recently a no go. Principal has however, recently redesigned their website so maybe this is the problem?

The chat was quick and easy, more so than I thought it would be. Weren't able to fix but it's at least in the Q and escalated. Chat person was very nice.:)
Mint reply on problem not very helpful. Canned answer, intimated I don't have an account with Principal :(. Meanwhile it appears that personalcapital.com has fixed the same problem and Full View (Fidelity) connected to the site no problem.
I am having the same problem. As of Monday, April 2017, Mint is still not connecting with Principal.com retirement account.
Since the filing deadline is tomorrow, then you may want to file an Extension and pay an estimated tax if any is due. If the issue is resolved by tomorrow then you can complete your return and efile.

I've also been unable to connect to principal for about 3 weeks. Used to work great. Just sharing in the pain. (4/30/2023)
Jeez Louise what a PITA this site is, even trying to log on to this forum. FWIW, Principal HAS been updating on my Mint account. I say HAS but I haven't checked it in a while, probably 3 or 4 months, but it's up to date today. I see 8 accounts are not updating. I have started using FULLVIEW on the Fidelity website to keep track of all this. Never a problem and always connected to all accounts, even those MINT cannot/will not connect to.
Even had to make a new account name, what's up with that?
This issue has been going on for well over a week several months actually. I’ve tried to delete my account and re-add it. Principal financial doesn’t work any more for in Mint
response as of 5/22: "Thank you for your time, this issue is related to a known issue and we have been working with Principal Financial to resolve this issue but note the resolution is based on their cooperation. We do not have a time frame but we have added your email address to the list and you should get an email as soon as this issue is resolved. We sincerely apologize for This inconvenience."
My account is updating just fine. I had not logged into Mint for a while and just now checked it and my account at Principal. Both match to the penny. I quit using Mint and use Fidelity FullView
Looks like there was some sort of update. Now Mint says I need to go the Principal website and update things, but when I click the 'Ok, go' link, I get 404 not found. I looked around Principal for a link/page that allows me to configure access to 3rd party applications, thinking that is the problem, but haven't found anything.
So, still no connectivity to Principal as of 8/3/2023. Did anyone else figure this out?
Just found this in my Principal 'messages' on the principal website when I log in. Looks like this isn't going to work anymore for me. :(
