You both have self-employment income. You will need to use either the online Self-Employment software or any version of the CD/download in order to prepare the Schedule C forms you have to complete for your business expenses. When you prepare your return, the software will calculate the self-employment tax you owe for Social Security and Medicare, as well as your ordinary income tax. You might need to start paying estimated quarterly tax payments to avoid an underpayment penalty/big tax bill at tax time.
