My husband and I both received the 1st stimulus payment of $1200 each ($2400 total), but not the 2nd one for $600 each ($1200 total). How do I claim this on taxes?

When working through your tax return interviews in TurboTax you will arrive at the "Federal Review" once you have completed all income and deductions and credits entries.

There you will be asked if you received any stimulus payments.  You will answer, "Yes" and then enter the amount you received in box 1 corresponding to round one.  Leave the second box (round 2) empty since you did not receive that payment.  The result will be a credit added to your return for the missing stimulus amount.

You can also go directly to the "Federal Review" by clicking on that tab in the upper right hand of your page.

Additionally, you can open the "search" box and enter "stimulus" and use the "Jump to..." link at the top of the search results.

I'm trying to find this, but searching for "STIMULUS" just brings me to Federal Review, and then nothing happens. There's no questions or options to claim a missing stimulus.

What's going on here?

If you are using the "App" try signing out and sign back in to your TurboTax.com account through a browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc) and try the search for "Stimulus" or click the "Federal Review" tab to get to the stimulus questions.

not using the app. I downloaded the software.

Desktop program should work the same way.  Be sure to update the program.

When you go through the federal review tab it will ask how much you got if any.  Enter a 0 in the box if you didn't get one.  Or to enter your stimulus payment in TurboTax, type "stimulus" (without the quotes) in the Search box, then click the link that says "Jump to stimulus."

After you have entered your tax information and are ready for the Federal Review, it will be the first question.

If you are trying to trigger it, you can go to Other Situations, answer any questions and click Done. The next automatic selection is Federal Review and it will ask about payments received.

If you didn't get one or both of the Stimulus payments or qualify for more it will be the Recovery rebate credit on 1040 line 30.  It either adds to your refund or reduces a tax due.

If your income is too high you won't get prompted for the Stimulus section since you can't qualify for any more.
