There is no box 7 for Social security.  Box 7 letter is for your 1099-R for retirement.  If you have a pension or had a 401K withdraw then you should have a letter in box 7 on your form which tells what type of withdraw or payments these were.

If you do not have a pension and you entered your social security on the 1099-R form, you will just need to go to the Federal tab>>Income and wages>> then on the summary screen click the trash can or delete next to form 1099-R.

You can then enter your social security by selecting Income and Wages>>Retirement Income>>Start next to 1099-SSA (Social Security)

When you're in your return, click on Federal Taxes (the 2nd tab at the top), then Wages and Income (the 1st button), then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security and click on the Update button next to the line that has (1099-R) on it.  Then click the Edit button next to the "Paid By" entry you want to fix.  If it's a joint return, TurboTax asks who's 1099-R it is, then click continue.  Scroll down to Box 7 and fix your error by clicking the drop-down arrow and picking the correct number or letter or even picking (No Entry).
