I have TurboTax Home and Business 2023 for a PC desktop. I've completed the 1099s for contractors and now want to file them. How do I file with the IRS? Does TurboTax do that for me? (I understand I just print out and mail to the contractors.) Thank you!

You really should e-file the 1096 and 1099 for the IRS as they require a special, red-inked paper (that can be scanned by their computers) when the forms are printed and mailed.

It depends on how you did them in the Windows Home & Business program. You can do them 2 different ways from the Windows Desktop Home & Business program. Either Online using Quick Employer Forms (QEF) -or- directly on your computer with the built in W2/1099 Reporter. If you use the Reporter on your computer you have to mail them to the IRS and not efile.
If you chose the Online Quick Employer Forms that efiles them to the IRS but won't open until sometime in January. Quick Employer Forms questions

So did you fill them out in a browser window or inside the TurboTax program with the blue bar across the top?
Note that if you do opt to prepare them on your computer and then print and mail the forms, the IRS copies better look like the forms in the screenshots below.
Be patient a little longer ... 2023 forms cannot be efiled until 2023 is OVER and the efile system is ready ... the Quick Employer's forms tool will let you know when the efiling is open and you can efile them at that time. The employee/contractor copies need to be printed and delivered by you by the end of January.
