Be advised – you can’t e-file an amended return. A paper form must be mailed in.

Well, if you used TurboTax you could not have e-filed the 2023 tax return if your Social Security number was not entered on the tax return.
How did you file the return?
@caswift1761 You filed your tax return but forgot to enter your SSA1099? If the IRS accepted your return you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend to add your Social Security benefits. Do not amend until the IRS has processed the return you already filed.

When you amend:
Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
@xmasbaby0 Great catch. I missed the part about "income".
The IRS is accomplished at noticing that SS recipient did not list that income on 1040.
The will add the amount and send you a bill or adjust your refund.
