Here is the trick BUT do NOT make any changes if you find an error ... you MUST wait for the amendment process to be available in late March AND the you have the original refund in hand.
First see if just a PDF of the return will work ... if not then use the Print Center option but again make no changes at this time.
Please follow the instructions below for a copy of your tax return after filing.
How do I get a copy of a return I filed this year ...
Print Center trick :
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.
I tried that (adding a state), but still cannot view my 1099 worksheets. I believe that I let an important box on a 1099 empty. I believe that I am missing a federal withholding amount which in turn caused me to owe a large sum. Just filed and got accepted. careless. I would really like to look at my TurboTax response worksheets. Can't seem to see them now.
What kind of 1099? 1099R, 1099B, 1099G, 1099NEC etc. if you have withholding in box 4 it will show up on 1040 line 25b. So add up all your federal withholding from W2 box 2 & 1099 box 4 and see if the total is on 25b.
Thanks! Tried again, successful using print center and checking box for worksheets and forms. My original error was omitting box 4 1099E federal withholding. Careless, and costly. Added up my total withholding, but did not add up to total on line 25 of 1040. Wanted to see the actual copy of that worksheet page to prove mistake. Found it after searching Print Center. Proof certain now. Careless. IRS keeps my money until I claw it back. My fault. Thanks for your help!
They may catch that and add it in for you. Just wait.
