Military State of residency

I've lived in Kansas for the past 6 years due to being in the active duty military. I got through this part so easily last year, but this year, it's saying I owe Kansas money when my state of residency is KY, to which I do not pay taxes. I need a little assistance.

You're perhaps doing something wrong in the Personal Info section.

For tax purposes,   You live in KY.......(mailing address can be KS...that doesn't set anything)

...AND, down with the "Other State Income", you don't add KS in there unless you a) worked in a KS civilian job while off duty or b)  have self-employment income while in KS...or c)  you maybe own a renal house in KS that you rent out to other people...for those a),b),c) exceptions you would have to file a KS nonresident tax return.
