We are military, our state of residence is TX. The question of the state you lived in in 2017, do i put TX or WA where we are currently stationed?

You enter your State of Legal Residence (SLR) where asked for your resident state since you are active military.  If your SLR is Texas then you select Texas as the resident state and also indicate that you did Not live in any other states and that you did Not earn money in any other states, if your military pay was your only income.
