The military PCS'd me in 2016 but i did not gt dislocation allowance. Can i claim the security deposit and any associated fees on my taxes?

Security deposit is not tax deductible, unfortunately. However you may deduct some of your moving expenses if you have not been reimbursed for them. They Include:

• Moving your household goods and personal effects (including in-transit or foreign-move storage expenses), and

• Traveling (including lodging but not meals) to your new home.
