I should be exempt from filing CT taxes due to not living there for the entire year. Since I am in the military my home of record is CT, but I should not pay taxes?

With your statement, I'd include a copy of the PCS orders too, just to be sure.

That does appear to create a special rule for CT if it's your SLR but you were deployed elsewhere the entire year.

Several other states do the same thing. I'm aware of NY and LA, but there are others I'm sure.
