I am beyond livid right now. My son texts me he was charged $216 for turbo tax fees when it should be free. From reading the posts it seems Turbo tax makes it extremely difficult to get the free version.
How can the fees get reversed? If not I will raise hell with the local media how Turbo Tax misleads the military members and takes advantage of them.

(There are no military discounts on “Live” versions, the CD/download or on add-on features)
When you enter your W-2:
There is a question "Is this W-2 for work you did as active duty military?" before the screen with checkboxes.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
Did he actually pay that with a credit card or request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?
The TurboTax online editions of Free, Deluxe and Premium are free for active duty enlisted personal. However, if he requested one of the Live editions, those are Not free.
He will need to contact TurboTax support for the problem. Use the key words Billing Issue
Use this phone number and select TurboTax - 1-800-4-INTUIT (1-800-446-8848)
