RSU Error in Review - all shares not accounted for (but they are)

Getting an error during review that is not valid.   I have 4 seperate transactions of RSUs being entered.  One of the 4 gives no error (the last one of the bunch), but the other 3 say there is an error during the review process.  It looks to be a bug in Turbotax, as the form and the step by step all look correct (and even match the miraculous fourth entry that gives no error).

Using Desktop version Home and Business 2022

The problem is this:

Form 1099-B Worksheet Capital gn(ls adjustments). Line 25 Column (b) additional purchase information needed.   AAA of BBB shares have been accounted for.  Need information for CCC shares.  All shares are done in one lot.  And for lot 1, column b properly has AAA shares entered, along with column g marking the shares withheld (CCC), which is exactly the number that the review error mentions.   I've used this feature for several years of turbotax and never encountered such a problem.   NOTE, well I thought let me enter 0 in the column b, and when I did so, it decided to create a second lot for the sale, which is wrong, and then it added a 3rd line on the subsequent review.

RSU Error in Review - all shares not accounted for (but they are)

To remove the error message you might consider just reporting your RSU sales the same way you report a regular stock transaction.  Determine your per share cost basis by dividing the total value of the vested RSUs by the total number of shares that vested (this total number of shares includes those that were sold to cover the tax withholding).  Then you can report each sale as you would a regular stock transaction.  When you determine the cost basis for each lot, then you can just enter the sale proceeds, along with the purchase date (or vesting date given these are RSUs) and the sale date.   Assuming you have all of the trading information you need, and it appears you do, you can avoid the multiple screens that relate to RSUs and just focus on reporting these transactions as regular stock trades.

RSU Error in Review - all shares not accounted for (but they are)

Thanks.  However, I figured out that the error Turbotax reported is actually correct.  Looks like there was a question asking to enter the # of shares reported as sold, but I was entering the total # of shares vested.   Had to go back to 2021's taxes and then realized my mistake.  Turns out for whatever reason one of the 4 I had entered right, but the other 3, not so much!

Turbotax was correct and clearly a case of user error.

I have the same exact issue. Do you remember exactly what steps you took to fix this ?
