Importing 1099 from Chase Investment accounts in not working

Worked super easy February 2023 (nightmare prior years). I did have to sign into Intuit first to download the first account . Later I downloaded another without that step

I think this year the Turbotax instructions work better than the Chase online ones. Think the opposite was true last year.  Think it best to read both instructions.  Good Luck

Importing 1099 from Chase Investment accounts in not working

I tried clear all browsing history cache and cookies in chrome.  Chrome window said "successful" as before, same error in TurboTax and turbotax closed itself.

I tried change default browser to edge. Edge window said "successful" and TurboTax had same error and closed itself.

Is there a way I can clear TurboTax cache to restart TurboTax?

Thanks.

Importing 1099 from Chase Investment accounts in not working

I looked through TurboTax troubleshoot and. I tried check "run as administrator", turn off "virus & threat protection", "app & browser control" and "firewall & network protection" . No luck. Chrome said " Connection Complete!" TurboTax reported error without error code and closed itself.

Once chrome said "connection complete!" Where is the temp file stored?

Importing 1099 from Chase Investment accounts in not working

This is the 7th time in the last 2 days I received the TurboTax error message indicating TurboTax needs to close. It happened 4 times today (02/26/2023), and 3 times yesterday. Further, today I cleared my cache in each of my browsers and changed my default browser twice: (1) from Microsoft Edge to FireFox, and (2) from FireFox to Google Chrome.

I also received the following message each time on my laptop screen regarding the successful importation of my JPMorgan Chase & Co. 1099 data, "Success! We got your tax data. You can now return to TurboTax." Then I received the above-mentioned TurboTax error message. More importantly, my data is not imported into my TurboTax "desktop" return. This is very frustrating. How can this problem be resolved as I have too much data to input each item individually into my tax return; it would take days.

Importing 1099 from Chase Investment accounts in not working

I too was not able to download my JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) data into my TurboTax (TT) Premier Desktop version, which I tried at least 8 times over 3 different days. I also had gone through the process of clearing my cache and cookies in each of my browsers. I also changed my default browser twice: (1) from Microsoft Edge to FireFox, and (2) from FireFox to Google Chrome After reviewing the comments from shawnduster, I was finally able to successfully download all my JPMC 1099 data performed. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Log onto your Chase Bank Account (www.chase.com)
  2. From the Main Menu in the top left-hand side of the screen, click on “Security & privacy”
  3. Click on “Linked apps and websites”
  4. Click on Intuit TurboTax via Intuit
  5. At the lower right-hand side of your screen, click on “Edit sharing”
  6. Click on “Select all accounts.” This step actually “deselected” all my accounts, which I had previously linked to TT.
  7. Individually select only the accounts for which you have 1099 data (I had previously downloaded all of my JPMC 1099’s a few weeks ago)
  8. Click on “I agree” in the lower right-hand side of your screen
  9. Close the screen, and review the “Linked apps and websites” section, “Sharing data from these accounts” which indicates the accounts that are now being shared.
  10. If you need to revise the accounts to be imported into TT, repeat steps 5-9
  11. Go to TT, and restart the process to import your 1099 data
  12. Your data hopefully had been imported without TT shutting down

I found out every time if I select mortgage loan TT closed.

Mine lets me into Chase, says download was successful, but then a window pops up saying there was an error and closes TT without the info saving.

If you are using TurboTax Online, you may want to try a different browser or try clearing out your browser's cache and cookies. Please see How do I delete cookies? and How to clear your cache for more information.

Please see What if I can't import my 1099? for instructions. Additionally, please keep in mind that if you are entering a Document ID it is case sensitive.

I did clear cache, I've tried both my desktop version of TT, and the online portion of of the desktop version, as well as going directly to the Turbo Tax website, tried Windows edge browser, chrome, firefox, and 3 different computers, the problem is not here the problem is with TT system not talking to the Chase system.  E-Trade went thru with out opening a separate window imported everything no problems.

Thank You.
