NJ Rent Credit - I share rent with my roommate, but he pays slightly more than me. Should I include the total rent paid for the unit, or just my portion for the credit?

Yes, you should enter only the total rent that you personally paid during the year. The rent credit is based on your expenses, not the cost of the entire apartment. Your roommate should include the balance on his/her tax return.
