Yes, you need to issue a Form 1099-Misc to your landlord if you paid $600 or more for rent paid for office space. Please view this IRS link for more information about the reporting rules for Form 1099-Misc. Please follow the directions in this TurboTax FAQ to create your Form 1099-Misc.

@toyeglenda the response from @KatrinaB48 assumes that you are self-employed as a message therapist, reporting your business income/expenses on SCH C, and that the rent paid was rent you paid for the eqipment or space used to operate your business.

If you are a W-2 employee, then none of your W-2 job related expenses are deductible anywhere on your federal tax return.
