Thank god I had the same issue and everyone is doing it right except one small step. When you click on add state and get back into the printing options youre not going to get the mail in instructions correctly. It will keep saying you filed electronically on your state returns. To fix this you find the page that says to change them from file to paper returns then click next and pick up where you left off. Once it takes you back through the steps keep clicking next like youre refilling it will take you back to the option to print the mail return with the proper personalized instructions you need. Hope this is clear. I dont remember exactly but basically get back to where you changed it to paper return and go through the process again
That would be 365 days, did you double check your entries to be sure you didn't enter 2026 for one of them or have a typo?

If she is not related to you by blood, you cannot claim her as a dependent because she did not satisfy all the following conditions:   The person can't be your qualifying child or the qualifying child of any other taxpayer.  The person must live with you  all year as a member of your household (and your relationship must not violate local laws). For exceptions to this requirement, see this TurboTax article. Thanks, Linda...much appreciated!   OK, so another question with regards to TFSA [Tax Free Savings account in Canada]: I have distribution from this account and is reinvested, as well, hence, where do I report this amount with TURBOTAX on the US side of filing taxes?    I have already filed, hence, will have to correct the information on my RRSP + TFSA distributions and re-submit. Secondly, TURBOTAX generated 1040 and I realized that it was 1040-NR [for taxation year 2024], how do I correct this with my TURBOTAX account so that It generates 1040-NR [and not just 1040]?   I believe, I should write a letter to IRS explaining the mistakes and that I intend to correct it. Do we have an option to submit a ticket via their web site or the only option is to mail a letter to them explaining the issues and that I intend to correct it.   Per TURBOTAX I was advised to file FBAR, which I did , however, me being a US nonresident alien, is it required?   Lastly, with regards to Rental Income, for taxation year 2024, I had filed with CRA in Canada, do I need to report it on the US side, as well? If yes, would I not be double taxed? What forms are needed with TURBOTAX USA?

Hi, we're residents of a no-income tax state but my wife was hired to lead some activities at an event in MO this past summer. We got her W2 from the company that ran the event, and while they correctly withheld Federal taxes, the state boxes are completely blank. We confirmed on the original pay stub no MO state tax was withheld.   TurboTax is telling me because the state boxes are blank, I don't have to complete a state return, however MO rules online say we do  because she technically earned more than $600 in MO (even though the company isn't reporting it).   What should we do?
