If you are not using TurboTax Expert Assist you can follow these steps: Follow these steps to downgrade to a different TurboTax Online product: Open your return if you haven't already. In the left menu, select Switch Products. Select Downgrade. You can remove TurboTax Live as long as you haven't used the Tax Expert feature. Here's what to do: With your tax return open, select File. Proceed through the screens until you reach the Just a few steps left... screen, then select Start or Revisit next to Step 1: Review Your Order. On the order summary screen, select Downgrade. If you don't see Downgrade or already used the Tax Expert feature, you can clear your return and start over as long as you haven’t paid yet. After clearing your return, you can select the TurboTax product that best suits your needs. Keep in mind: If you want to receive help from a tax expert, you’ll need to use TurboTax Live.

I have netfiled my 2025 tax return.  CRA has received it and notice of assessment issued but in the turbotax software, there isn't a confirmation number when the NETFILE button is clicked.  It shows the Start button instead, with the message "Finish up and file your federal tax return to the CRA."  Also the return counter has used up one of the available tax returns. I'm assured it's filed since I do see it on the CRA website, so I don't want to netfile again but is there a way to update my turbotax file that it has been filed, rather than showing like it hasn't been filed?
B of A sometimes has issues with routing numbers for direct deposit.  Sign onto your bank account and verify the routing number for your account.
You have to go into Tools, delete a form, scroll down until you find Untitled Form, then delete it
Perhaps you've already done what I'm about to suggest, but I have stuff like this happen to me all the time and have to turn off my VPN (mine is McAfee) to get things to work.

In previous tax years, you could choose "Multiple States" and hit Continue without entering an amount of exempt dividend income for any particular state, but for the current version of 2025 TurboTax, that definitely does not work--I tried it. You MUST select one actual state (normally you'd choose your home state) and enter an amount of tax-exempt dividends for that state. Then you are allowed to choose Multiple States and enter the balance, and whatever two or more amounts you enter on that screen has to add up correctly to the total. Otherwise you are not allowed to proceed and get the dividends area of your return marked as completed. It's a real time-wasting nuisance this year, because at least in my case, and I expect many others, it will make no difference in federal or state tax due, because for most taxpayers, the amounts are too small to matter.

I am getting errors on Federal Review for a blank Form 1065 that is not filled out and it is asking me to complete. The error is the title of this post: "K-1 Entry Wks-Partnerships (Untitled): Partnership Name has not been entered"   What's really strange is the form has the "Partner's Name" as the registered name of our S-Corporation (Partnership), rather than one of the two actual partners. This seems like the software for some reason drafted an extra form 1065, even there are only two partners, each with 50% ownership.    How can I get past this?

After you entered the SSA-1099 in TurboTax there was a following screen where you were asked if you lived in any of the countries listed.  If you skipped this section or answered Yes, then none of your Social Security benefits would be taxable.  You should have answered NO to this question so the program could calculate the amount of benefits that would be taxable.

In TurboTax Online, the Finish & File section is located in the left-hand menu, usually after you have completed the federal and state review steps. Try clicking on Tax Home if you can't see it.   If you are using a TurboTax Desktop program, you can click on the File Tab (the gray bar that goes across your screen near the top) to review and file you can click on the Review Tab and follow the step by step instructions through to the filing process.   See also: How do I know my taxes are complete? Need some help on how to rectify the situation I find myself in: 1. March 25 - made a $5100 prior year (2024) contribution to my Roth IRA 2. April 25 - prepared tax return, realized I had exceeded the Roth IRA contribution MAGI limit, and requested my financial institution withdraw the excess contribution which they said they would do. 3. April 25 - filed my return indicating that the excess contribution would be withdrawn by the tax filing deadline (My IRA Contribution Worksheet, Regular Roth IRA Contributions, Line 25 reflects the $5100 to be withdrawn before tax filing deadline). 4. May 25 - I find out the financial institution did not complete the withdrawal of the excess contribution and thus they finally execute the withdrawal on 05/21/2025. 5. Jan 25 - I receive 2 1099-R's relating to the excess contribution withdrawal 1st 1099-R: Box 1: $5100, Box 2: $243.03, Box 7 PJ 2nd 1099-R: Box 1: $243.02, Box 7 8J 6. APR 25 - I enter both 1099-R's as part of filing 2025 taxes and now I see I have Form 5329 filled out and Turbotax indicates I'm being taxed at 6% on the excess contribution amount.   So I've done some digging and I *believe* I see what's going on but I have no idea how to correct/compensate for it. Specifically on Form 5329 Part IV, Line 18 it reports my 2024 excess contribution of $5100, but on Line 20 it shows $0, even though I withdrew (distributed) the excess contribution and it was reported on a 1099-R. Thus Line 24 has my total excess contribution at $5100 and Line 25 has the additional tax of $306.   So I'm thinking the issue revolves around me having filed 2024 indicating the excess contribution was removed before filing (and thus all my basis totals in Turbotax are actually correct!) and that somehow preventing Turbotax from triggering my withdrawal of the funds in 2025 (ie, Turbotax believes the funds were already withdrawn so why should it ask again, right?!).   Any help/insight on how to resolve is greatly appreciated.   PS> I have Turbotax online PREMIUM (the product selection below does not list PREMIUM so I selected I Don't Know).
