I'm working with TurboTax Business 2024 to file a 1041 (to be followed by filing the 2025 form). This is for a simple trust, and is not the final return. There is dividend income of $33 and professional expenses of $950 for a loss of $917.. There are three equal beneficiaries. Correct tax treatment, as I understand it, is that a loss is not "distributed" until the final return, but 2024 is insisting on distributing the loss in K-1 box 14 with Code H as income. I've verified with a CPA that, based on the transactions there should be nothing in box 14. I believe this is an error in the 2024 package.

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
You will have to print, sign, date and mail the federal tax return to the IRS, it cannot be e-filed by TurboTax.
Go to this IRS website for the address to mail, by state - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

Here are some things to check and how to fix:
Check:
Some items have limitations that could be reducing your itemized deductions: medical expenses (exceeding 7.5% of AGI), state and local taxes ($40k max), and mortgage interest (balance over $750k)
Filing status - MFS both partners must both itemize or both take standard
Senior deduction of $6k is added to itemized or standard deduction. If the standard deduction plus senior deduction eliminate your income, itemizing is not needed.
Fix: There is an "Info Worksheet" setting that occasionally gets toggled by mistake (or carries over from a previous year) which forces the standard deduction regardless of the math.
TurboTax Desktop:
Switch to Forms Mode (top right corner).
In the list of forms on the left, find the Information Worksheet (often labeled "Info Wks").
Scroll down to Part VI - Additional Information.
Look for a checkbox that says: "Check this box to take the standard deduction even if less than itemized deductions."
If it’s checked, uncheck it.
TurboTax Online:
Go to Tax Tools > Tools > Topic Search.
Type "itemized deductions, choosing" and select it.
This should take you to a summary screen where you can click "Change my deduction" to manually select itemized.

Since she is older than 23 you can only claim them as a dependent under the Qualifying Relative rules. Under the rules the dependent's total income for 2025 must be less than $5,200 along with the other rules.
To be a Qualifying Relative -
1. The person cannot be your qualifying child or the qualifying child of any other taxpayer. A child is not the qualifying child of any other taxpayer if the child's parent (or any other person for whom the child is defined as a qualifying child) is not required to file an income tax return or files an income tax return only to get a refund on income tax withheld. 2. The person either (a) must be related to you or (b) must live with you all year as a member of your household. 3. The person's gross income for the year must be less than $5,200 (social security does not count) in 2025 4. You must provide more than half of the person's total support for the year. 5. The person must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S., Canada, or Mexico resident for some part of the year. 6. The person must not file a joint return with their spouse with the following exception - You can claim a person as a dependent who files a joint return if that person and that person’s spouse file the joint return only to claim a refund of income tax withheld or estimated tax paid.

Are you reporting an IRS form 1099-R and using the simplified method to compute the taxable amount of the distribution reported in box 1?
If this is the case, you are being asked information about your contribution to your pension plan. Your 'plan cost at annuity starting date' is your contribution to the pension plan. Your contribution will be recovered each year as the nontaxable portion of your pension distribution.
In some cases, your 'plan cost at annuity starting date' is reported in box 9b of the IRS form 1099-R. Or you may have to contact the issuer of your pension distribution to determine this amount.

While there is truth to much information being online, there is no sense in "CONSOLIDATING" that information into a single source online location. Again, you are talking about millions of people consolidating their information into the proverbial "barrel" and for expert hackers, if there are several barrels standing side by side and they want to shoot a fish in that barrel, you can be assured they will bypass those with one fish and pick a barrel that increases their odds and opportunity. The most successful (and profitable for the criminal) usually exposes vast numbers of consumers, big time hackers don't tend to waste time on small fish. Thanks for the response, but it was in no way helpful because it missed the larger point. Grok suggest that there are at least two reliable alternatives which will still function locally on a windows 10 pc. Here is the link https://x.com/i/grok/share/3c6f5b27b16e42fe9c0a52be0736ea9c

If stocks inside of a fund are purchased by a brokerage then they are seen as purchased on your behalf for you. So you would enter purchased again, even if you had an "agent" do it for you.
