I was fooled, and paid for the unnecessary upgrade. Unethical business practice, that.

Let's change the federal section. Other taxes paid in 2025 needs to be switched to an entry for tax paid in 2025 for a prior year. This puts it on the federal without moving it to the state. This should solve all the problems quickly and easily. Progress!

Even with updates yesterday, Feb 26, and today, Feb 27, these issues still aren't fixed. If I have to file directly with Oregon Online and reenter all that data, I will certainly be demanding a partial refund from Intuit. I was expecting some hiccups from the Big Ugly Bill this year, but it seems they have broken a lot of things that were perfectly fine last year having nothing to do with those changes. Very frustrating when software developers choose to "fix what ain't broke."

It appears there is an error in how TurboTax handles 1099R forms marked F in box 7. The software should carry over a portion of the distribution to line 43 of the 1099R summary and from there to Form 8960 line 3. The explanation on the 1099R summary is that the carry-over occurs only if box 7 is D. It should carry over for both D and F distributions. Non-qualified annuities are clearly subject to the NIIT.

I am completely new to turbotax e-filing and I'm trying to figure out how to file for EITC. I am a live-in IHSS provider for both of my folks. I did receive my W-2 forms and they both show $0.00 in box 1 and 2. So far I have filled out my info in turbotax and have uploaded copies of the W-2 forms. And this is where I'm stuck. The W2 forms require a review. How do I proceed from here? Thank you.

Just had the same problem. Cannot enter credit card expiration month of 10, 11, or 12. Perhaps this is a sneaky way to force users to pay with refund and a $40 processing fee. Fortunately, I had one card with a expiration month that I could enter. And the original post is from 2024 and still not fixed?

You have options: 1. You can get back into your tax return by selecting Add a State. This lets you into your return and then you can print your vouchers. It's the backdoor method for after filing. 2. Make the payments online which is preferred by most governments. Use Transaction Portal (TAP) 3. Fill in a blank voucher to mail. It would for sure help if this issue can be reported to TurboTax for further investigations. I actually tried another software tool and it didn't give me this issue and the tool allowed me to e-file at the end.
You would need to go to the Tools or Support menu, select "Send file to agent." This uploads an anonymous version of your file to tech support and gives you a token number that can be used to associate your complaint with the uploaded file. The post the token number here and I can ask a moderator to look at the situation.
