Ok logged into Vanguard and was able to find my original purchase date and all the other info I needed for that calculator...   https://costbasistools.com/gold/iau.php   After plugging it all in I got a chart with each month from 2025's "Cost Basis of Ounces Sold", which I manually plugged in to 1e for each of the 12 forms for each month. Manually entered the acquired date. Manually selected "Collectible" for the type. Manually selected "Unknown term basis not reported to IRS", for the sales section.   All the "needs review" are gone. Are we good now?

Yes, the premiums deducted from your pension count.   @bmoyer    Qualifications for the deductions are as follows:   You must have a net profit from your self-employment (reported on Schedule C). Your deduction cannot exceed the net earned income from that specific business.   AND You cannot take the deduction for any month in which you were eligible to participate in a health plan subsidized by an employer (including a spouse’s employer).
Just wondering, What did you move?   You don’t have an IRA through your employer.   Was it a 401K or something else?

If you are using EasyStep mode, Edit your business, then go to the "Identification of your partners" section. Click continue. Then on the next page check off "My business has partners". Then click continue again. Check off "I've incurred partnership expenses outside of the partnership (including use of your personal vehicle for partnership purposes)". Click done on the "Details of Other Partners" page, and the next page will allow you to enter your expenses for Line 9943.     If you are using Forms mode, fill in Part 6 of the T2125 to enter amounts in Line 9943.

Thx. I am clicking on the 'Forms' button on the top (in Turbotax desktop for Mac) and it shows every form - except the Schedule A. The amount on the 1040 line 12e is the correct (itemized) deduction - the sum of state tax, property tax, charitable donations and a few other small deductions - it significantly exceeds the MFJ standard deduction for 2 seniors. So clearly all the deduction data was entered, it was all used to itemize (exceeding the standard deduction) and it flowed into the 1040. But inexplicably there is no Schedule A among all the forms, unlike every other year where I could view my Schedule A to easily see the itemized deductions. A weird Turbotax software glitch, or is there a good explanation? THANKS for any assistance.

1. I made a Nondeductible contribution to traditional IRA  2. I filed my tax return with the nondeductible contribution listed on Form 8606 3. I recharacterized the contribution as a Roth IRA afterwards 4. I just want to file an amended return stating the above I am curious if TurboTax supports e-filing a manually filled Form 1040-X (the amended return)? If so, could someone tell me what are the steps to do so? Thanks
I'll redo return. Seems I need to do MD first and NY second to claim credit on taxes paid to MD.

Are you referring to a Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA)? It could be because a Form 1099-Q for 529 Plan distributions was included in your download from Fidelity.  Distributions from both Coverdell  ESA accounts and 529 Plans are reported on Form 1099-Q.  If a Form 1099-Q was imported and needs to be deleted, type "1099Q" into Search, hit enter, then click on "Jump to 1099q".  Delete all the information in the 1099-Q and then delete the Form 1099-Q.

For tax year 2025, your employer may list non-taxable overtime in box 14 with a specific label like "FLSA OT Prem". You might also receive a separate year-end statement giving you the amount. Otherwise, you have to calculate the overtime premium to enter on your tax return.   In TurboTax Online, this is how you enter the qualified overtime premium: After entering your form W-2, you'll see a screen titled Let's Check for Other Situations Put a checkmark on Overtime and click Continue Follow the TurboTax questionnaire to enter your qualified overtime premium This deduction will transfer to Schedule 1-A of your form 1040, with that amount flowing to line 13b of your form 1040.   Refer to the TurboTax article How do I enter overtime pay in TurboTax Online? and  I Worked Overtime This Year — My W-2 Pay Doesn’t Show it. for detailed instructions to enter your overtime.   For additional information, refer to the TurboTax article No Tax on Overtime Explained: Qualified Overtime Deduction Rules for 2025.

First time user with TurboTax Premier. Completed tax prep and used the eFiling option a month ago. Recent software changes updated the program and now show a vastly different amount for tax owed from the original filing although I made no changes to my data. Intuit rep says IRS will sort it out. Anyone else dealing with this? Any suggestions how to get this resolved before the IRS payment next month?

Thank you DawnC. I contacted the support team and their expert unable to free up license and said to fill up refund request and if the Intuit accept I will get refund or get credit toward a new software which will come with a new set of licenses. I have submitted the refund request and waiting for their response. This is really bizarre response. I wish they could simply remove all the associated PC from the license.  Let’s see what they say.  ETA can be upto 5 days or more.  Thanks.
Thank you.

You may not need to file Form 2210, which is why you don't see any change in your Federal return after adding it.  You may not owe a penalty for 2025, if your underpayment was less than 1K.  TurboTax should add it for you, if required.  If you had a Balance Due this year, you may just need to adjust your tax withholdings going forward.    Since we can't see your return in this forum, here's some detailed info on Form 2210 to help you.   @BL_TaxLearning

Q. So are you saying I don’t need to report it all?  A. Yes.    Q. I just thought it’d be put into TT? A. No. TurboTax will put nothing about the 1099-Q on the actual tax forms.  You essentially do not send anything to the IRS about your distribution, when it is a "qualified distribution".  A contribution to a Roth IRA is a "qualified distribution".
