You are likely being charged $129 because you are using the wrong TurboTax version or you were upgraded to a paid "Live" service, rather than the TurboTax Self-Employed version included in your bundle. Because of this, you are using different login credentials than you use for QuickBooks Self-Employed, so the bundle is not recognized.   To get the free filing, you must launch TurboTax from within the QuickBooks Self-Employed interface using the same credentials, ensuring you do not select "Live" help.   TurboTax may have prompted you to use a "Live" or assisted product, which is a paid service that may cost around $129.   If you have already entered data, you may need to clear your tax return data in TurboTax and start over to avoid the charges. How do I clear and start over?   You can log in to QuickBooks Self-Employed and go to your Taxes tab. Make sure to sign in with the same email/user ID that you used for your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription bundle.   If you have additional information or questions regarding this, please return to Community and we would be glad to help.

Hi,   Thanks very much for the prompt reply!   In the reply you indicated all the Federal Forms would be filed with my Montana Form 2 e-filing return.  My original question also referenced the required forms from New Mexico, where I moved from.   I plan to electronically file income tax returns from both Montana (form 2) and New Mexico (PIT forms).   Will my Montana Form 2 e-filing also include the required NM PIT forms?   Many thanks and have an great rest of the day!

If the issue you are seeing relates to either reporting a QCD or reporting non-deductible contributions, are you able to follow the directions given by @SteamTrain earlier in this thread to resolve the problems?  If those directions don't help, are you seeing other issues?  Please provide as much detailed information as possible (no personal info though) in a reply as that will help us to better help you.   If you made a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA, bear in mind that you are required to be over 70-1/2 years old at the time you make the distribution.  As an example, if your date of birth was May 1, 1955, you would have had to make the QCD on November 1, 2025 or later in order for it to qualify as a QCD.  If you birthdate was not before July 1, 1955, you would have been ineligible to make a QCD at any time in 2025.  So in the instance that you made a QCD and were born after June 30, 1955, the questions about QCD contributions would not appear in TurboTax.

No, you will need to have foreign income to offset the carryovers in the next ten years. If these carryovers are unused, they will expire at the end of that time period.

I'm sorry. I know this is frustrating. I do not work for TurboTax and I am not a tax professional so I'm afraid I can't help you with this issue.  However, a question you could ask a tax professional would be can you e-file your taxes without it and then go to the government's website, download the form, fill it out, and then physically mail the form and your waiver statement after your e-file has been accepted. That was my backup plan in case they couldn't fix the waiver statement issue which thankfully was corrected in one of the more recent updates.
If your Efiled return was rejected, you should get an email from TurboTax with an Error Code.  When you open your return, 'Check the Status of your Return.'       @lawrencekroll
