The only way I can achieve that is to go to the income section in TT, and answer "Did this business end in 2025 = NO". This unselected the "Final return" in Form 568, and the calculations look correct. However: 1. The instructions for Form 568 state that the final return should be marked as such to prevent future tax obligation (or confusion)? 2. Wouldn't TT also ask me to pay $800 for year 2026, which I do not need to do? What other consequences will selecting "Did this business end in 2025 = NO" in the income section have that I should be aware of? Thank you.

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
The IRS states that most federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days of acceptance, however, some may take longer if they require additional review. Also, by law, the IRS cannot issue EITC or ACTC refunds before mid-February. This applies to your entire refund, not just the portion related to those specific credits.
Here are a few FAQs to help you track your refund: When will I get my federal tax refund? How do I track my state refund? Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?
Why do some refunds take longer than others?
What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?

I need help with this too. You sound like you are very familiar with IT203. I have to file a IT203 because I work in NY. I also am a Member of the NY National Guard but because my residency is Pennsylvania the National Guard pay W-2 has Pennsylvania at the bottom. I am not including it on the NY income(columnB). But my question is do I subtract it on the Federal side under a subtraction modification S119 or is that only to subtract it if it was a W-2 from NY and tax exempt. Subtracting it increases my refund. I guess my question is in order to subtract w-2 income from the federal side, does it have to be listed on the NY side. Thank u in advance

I’ve used TT for 20+ years and this year TT will not recognize my 403B RMD. It wants to add a penalty for not withdrawing sufficient funds. Keep trying to delete entry and start over and it doesn’t change penalty. What am i doing incorrectly. I did NOT check IRA/Simple box. Also on 1120S form the stock basis form cannot be accessed when I try to update stock basis. I’m finding changes and support really hard this year. So frustrating! it appears changes one makes when using TT is the big problem, also the print/preview forms under tools is cumbersome and not easy to access one or two forms/worksheets to check entries.

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.
To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:
Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
Toggle the switch to ON.
Refresh the page and attempt your import again.
What do I do when my data isn't imported into TurboTax Desktop even though it says successful import in my browser?
If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:
Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

Yes, it is odd to indicate the type of HDHP coverage that you don't actually have, but TurboTax's Review has been operating this way for the 10 years that I have been answering HSA questions, and I have never heard of the IRS giving any negative feedback on this situation.
This behavior has been reported.

The senior deduction is automatically calculated by TurboTax based on the dates of birth you entered for each spouse.
The senior additional deduction is not included in the standard deduction but appears on line 37 of Schedule 1-A of your form 1040, with that amount flowing to line 13b of your form 1040.
In TurboTax Online, you can only view Schedule 1-A after registering and paying the TurboTax fee.
But you can preview your form 1040 and check line 13b of your form 1040 which includes the senior deduction among other deductions if applicable, such as the tip deduction, the overtime or the car loan interest deduction.
To preview your form 1040 in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:
Open your return
In the left-hand column, locate Tax Tools, click on the drop-down arrow then click on Tools
On the Tools Center page, click on View Tax Summary
In the left-hand column, click on Preview my 1040
Your form 1040 will display.
Scroll down to line 13b and you should see the amount of this deduction included in this line.

@mofalaki , you report earned interest from foreign source just as you would for domestic interest. I generally follow --> under personal income tab, select " I will choose what I work on " and then after satisfying the W-2 related prompts/ entries, from the drop down list of types of incomes, select interest income. Thereafter it will ask if you have "Investment income say "yes", then choose "I will enter myself", then will present you with "tablets" for 1099-INT, 1099-DIV etc. Choose 1099-INT. This will then allow you to enter interest earnings with a whole bunch of boxes --- enter only the name " Who did you receive interest from " and fill in the appropriate boxes. It will allow multiple interest earnings, one source at a time ( clicking the "add investment source ") .
Then when you go to the "deductions and Credits " tab, again choose " I will choose what I work on ", then enter all your normal deduction and credit claims. Lastly under "other estimated taxes etc. " group choose Foreign Taxes Paid. This is where you enter any foreign taxes paid to the Foreign Taxing Authority ( Canada in your particular case ). Choose Credit and follow through.
Does this help ? Or did I mis-read your issue ?

Use a mailing service like certified mail to track so you will know it was received since you will have a long wait.
Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
You can watch for information here:
