Yes, the copayment are deductible if you were not reimbursed.   Health care insurance premiums, including dental and vision insurance premiums, and other medical expenses that you paid with out of pocket funds and were not reimbursed are an eligible medical expense that you can deduct using Schedule A for itemized deductions. However, only your total medical expenses that are greater than 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) can be deducted. Your total itemized deductions reported on Form 1040 Schedule A must be greater than the standard deduction for your filing status to have any tax benefit. Standard deductions for 2025 Single - $15.750 add $2,000 if age 65 or older Married Filing Separately - $15,750 add $1,600 if age 65 or older Married Filing Jointly - $31,500 add $1,600 for each spouse age 65 or older Head of Household - $23,625 add $2,000 if age 65 or older To enter your medical expenses - Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business) Click on Deductions and Credits Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Scroll down to Medical On Medical Expenses, click the start or update button

@jimbob8 , I have just created a scenario on windows desktop Home & Business with a tax payer having a tax-home in Germany and receiving SSA from the USA; wife receiving  US SSA but living in the USA. They also had additional  interest and dividend incomes , thus forcing taxable  SSA.  I can indeed confirm that Turbo asks and when  foreign tax-home confirmed, indeed excludes   husband's SSA distribution from  MFJ  federal tax return.     In forms mode : Look at  "Social Sec " -- Social Security Worksheet -- line 1b ----"Benefits exemption from US Tax due to living abroad in country with tax treaty". Thus IRS / TurboTax is choosing not to assert  " savings clause " and does not ask if the  tax payer is a citizen or GC. I hope this now clarifies  your issue
@Mike9241  Thanks. "Attach the annual statement election", but Turbox did not ask me to do this? I assume that TurboTax should have me handle all the documents. I am confused here.
SS taxable income increased from 14,366 to 19,546 in different versions of tax forms. nothing has been filed, but lowers my refund significantly. No other parameters have changed.

There is definitely a TT coding error for elementary students (not sure if this happens for high school too because mine aren't that age yet). After messing with my taxes in TT online for the last 3 days I changed both of my kids to college students and answered all of the questions for a college student (basically no to everything). This then populated the "Part II - College Student Information" of the Student Information Worksheet which is marked "keep for your records". I'm 99% sure that section was causing the error for my elementary kids so there is definitely a coding issue for 2025 that didn't exist in prior TT online years.   Once I saved them as a college student, I went back into the questions and re-marked them as elementary students and all of the questions in the section aforementioned are marked "No" except #7 "Is the student an eligible dependent of the tax payer?" and that one is marked yes. I don't know how to get those questions to be "N/A" which would be more applicable to elementary students, however, it did resolve the error for me and I can now e-file. Flipping my kids to college and then back to elementary didn't change my federal or state refund/amount due. Hopefully since this is a backup worksheet I didn't mess anything else up with my taxes but this error certainly needs to be resolved by TT's coding of these forms.

1099-R Summery is a worksheet, don't worry about it unless the bottom line is wrong.

I am having the same issue (also on Mac and using updated software).  Just needed to amend interest income and have a small tax to pay (already got the refund from original filing).  After all changes were made and I am in the REVIEW section it tells me I need to paper file the 1040-X and can efile the state.    If I hit the FILE tab, it looks like it would do the e-file for Federal...but I'm hesitant to try that.    Looking at IRS documentation, there should be no issue with e-filing a 1040-SR.     I am considering mailing the return but going onto the IRS cite to deposit the tax owed..just so I know they get the payment.  Interested if you hear of any other fixes.

Form T1255 Designation of a Property as a Principal Residence by the Legal Representative of a Deceased Individual is not available in TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online). It is available in TurboTax Desktop (for Windows), or you can download it from the CRA's website and add it to your wife's return. As she has passed away, you'll need to print & mail her return. You can still NETFILE your own return, though.   You'll also need to prepare your returns separately. If you stick with TurboTax Do It Yourself (Online), when you transfer your return it will ask about any changes during the year, including if one of you passed away. You can then choose to continue by transferring either your return or your wife's. You can start a new return to do the second spouse.

As the sole heir without court-appointed proceedings, you generally do not need to file Form 56 to receive a refund. Instead, you should file Form 1310, Statement of Person Claiming Refund Due a Deceased Taxpayer, along with the final tax return, to claim the refund. Representatives who aren't court-appointed must include Form 1310 to claim any refund.    Any appointed representative must sign the return. If there's no appointed representative and no surviving spouse, the person in charge of the deceased person's property must file and sign the return as "personal representative."   You would answer "no" to items 2a and 2b on Form 1310 to indicate that there was no court appointment and there will not be one.   See this IRS tax tip, this one, and this blog from the Taxpayer Advocate Service. Refunds for returns with Form 1310 may be significantly delayed.   Letter 4883C is a routine notification of potential identity theft.   See also IRS Publication 559 and this TurboTax tips article for more information.   My condolences on your loss.

To find files   For Windows Did you search your whole computer for all files ending in .tax2024 etc?And check the recycle bin and your backups.  Check in One Drive, Drop Box, etc.  It should be in your Documents then in the Turbo Tax folder.  Also if you have multiple Windows user accounts, log into each one and do the search for the *.tax2024 data file from within each one and checking the Recycle Bin in each one.   If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like  "~your name.tax2024".  That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.   Don't know if this will help any Turbo Tax users but one Quicken user found them...... What I found was that my Quicken Data files ended up in the One-drive Recycle bin. Not sure how, but I found them there.  I placed the files back onto the laptop and brought the files into Quicken and now have all my data back.     How to find tax files on Mac https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-data-file/help/find-your-tax-data-file-in-mac/00/26206
