This amount from box 10 did not show on line 1e as income on my 24 return. Also I did not contribute too much based on income.

You might be in a different account.   Or used the Desktop program last year.   How to view all your accounts https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/many-intuit-accounts-turbotax/L9aVfKS1Z_US_en_US?uid=ll5g6zcx It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery/ If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. You can also request a transcript from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

You are absolutely right. I have used Turbo Tax for 10+ plus. When I completed my daughter's tax refund, I selected to pay the $25 State filing fee by taking it out of the refund. I selected 'NO' to the IRS Audit insurance. I hit finish and received an additional $45 charge for this unknown 3rd party for processing. I believe this unnecessary extra charge was hidden or at least not flagged. This type of deception causes me to question the software's integrity. So far, I have stopped several people from using Turbo Tax this year and to try another software package.

The federal screen you showed, that's exactly what I did. Yet when I went to work on the state taxes, the exclusion did not show up. On the desktop version (yes I have both) I had a screen essentially saying "we added this exclusion in for you". Nada on the online version. Do I need to delete the form and try again?

The K-1 is for a company that is an Investment LLC.  It was formed in late 2025, so the only activity in 2025 was for legal and other professional fees which were reported on Line 1, but since this is an Investment Company, I believe the net activity should flow to the Form 8960.  Is there anyway to get them to flow to the Form 8960?

Like the title says, I no longer get W2s and haven't for several years, so there's no carryover.  TurboTax won't let me transmit my returns as it flags a mismatch between W2 worksheet box 16 and Form 540 Line 12 (which is and should be 0). Since I have no W2s, I have no W2 worksheets. Help!

Thanks @SteamTrain and @baldietax.  Issue resolved.  Had to change that first question or option to Multiple States as indicated in the explanation.  The forms screen shot was very helpful as I was able to see the XX in the field instead of NY.  Also the correct total was transferred to the New York form IT-201 line 20 for the amount to be added that is not NY Tax exempt.

Usually when a Form 1098 show $0 for property taxes, it is because they were paid outside of escrow; the payment was made in a different calendar year; the loan was sold/refinanced, or if the taxes were paid late.    You can verify this in your online mortgage account portal under escrow, or escrow activity. You should also  receive an annual statement of your escrow account from your lender for tax purposes. If you did, it will be on that.     You can contact your local tax authority directly or look up your property online with your county or city tax collector. This will show the date the tax was paid and how much.   If you bought your property this year or refinanced your mortgage, check the closing documents to see if taxes were paid during the closing process.   You could also try reviewing your bank statement to see when you paid your property tax and how much you paid.   See also,  Where can I find out how much property (real estate) tax I paid? and Claiming Property Taxes on Your Tax Return   Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

After claiming 100% special depreciation allowance (bonus depreciation) in year one, TurboTax will calculate next year's depreciation on a business vehicle based on the remaining basis, which is often zero.  So unless your % of Business Use increased, you may not have a depreciation deduction in 2025.    It sounds like you really need your 2024 info to transfer into 2025 properly.  Search your computer for a .tax2024 file (check Documents > TurboTax).  You may have a back-up copy with a tilde sign.  Or, you could open the 2024 program, re-save your file to your desktop, then open a new return in 2025, and transfer in that file.   @dchiang8
Mortgage is due and there over the date of my e-file refund can I get an advance on my refund
I live in a state without state income tax, so there is no state return. I ended up re-entering everything (other than the basic information that carried over from 2024). Thanks for the reply anyway.

Mike, We are within the 45 day notice period.  On form 8824, line 5, TT wants the date when the like kind property received was identified.  The property closed on 11/21/2025.  The identification by the Exchanger was on 12/1/2025.  The exchanger used the identified date as 12/1/25 as not all the funds received were used in the purchase of the replacement property.  A second property was not acquired for the balance of the funds so the Identification date was 12/1/25.   When I enter the following in TT: Line 5 (date like kind property received was identified): 12/1/25 Line 6 (date line kind property received): 11/21/2025  TT flags line 5 as bad date.  How do I get around that?
Primary residence was converted to rental mid year. MAGI is over 160K. Why does TurboTax deduct rental loss from W-2 income?
