AND... calling TurboTax customer service currently has me absolutely infuriated.  I just waited 30 minutes on the line to speak to someone, and after explaining the situation the customer service rep said he was going to put me on hold to look into that... AND HE HUNG UP ON ME... despite confirming my phone number before this...presumably so he can reach me if we get disconnected.  And does he call me back after "accidentally" hanging up on me?  NOoooooo...  and trying to get help in this forum apparently only goes so far.  So I'll be sitting on the phone for another half hour to hopefully reach a customer service rep who actually wants to do their job... and not hang up on me.     Clearly it's not an easy answer/solution... but submitting multiple messages here, calling 2 days ago and having my situation documented and being told I'd receive an email in 24-48 hours with "what I should do next and what was done to correct this", and not receiving that email, so I call there to follow up... and I'm hung up on when the guy said he would put me on hold to look into it... literally said "let me go ahead and do that"... and CLICK... disconnected.   If there's anything you can do to look into this with TurboTax in terms of if they are actually looking into FIXING this programming issue, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please advise.  Thanks.

Do I need to enter this in the income area of Turbo Tax if the distribution was all used for qualified college expenses? When I do enter it my tax due goes up dramatically as though I am paying taxes on the gains. My understanding is that there is no tax due in my circumstances, hence I intend not to enter the 1099-Q in Turbo Tax and just keep for my records

Hi, My review says that  Box 14a cannot be more than my gross distribution for all of my four retirement accounts.  All four of them say that and I cannot file my taxes.. For example for my TIAA 403 B account, my gross distribution is 6,000.00 and my box 14a is 600.00.   There is no problem so why does turbo tax do this??? It happens with all my 403B rollovers.

I believe it can be done, as i did see the option but I have not done it as yet.  After review of your return it will show were the errors are.  You then see an option to continue or run error check again.  If you select continue, it will efile.  I believe it is the same as printing the form and sending it, you can still print the return even if turbo tax shows error.

@VolvoGirl  Thank you for your reply. Yes, I downloaded and activated 2025 TurboTax Deluxe on my Mac.   Yes, my installed 2025 TurboTax Deluxe shows a $10 credit balance that can be used for Add-Ons. I was trying to purchase eFiling prior to actual filing, which I recollect I was able to do in each of the past two years. You seem to be telling me that I can NOT purchase state eFiling until I'm in the process of doing so. Am I understanding correctly?   Is there no way to make the purchase in February and avoid the price increase that I understand is coming in March? - nello
It keeps asking me when I moved and I haven’t moved I’m still a resident of the state
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...
'Requires' mean requirement.  Isn't it?  Is TT twisting English now?
Christmas Baby,   Thank you for the updates.   I am sure the team has many obstacles to overcome when working with government policies, forms and more...   I appreciate the transparency.

If the Legal Plan with MetLife is under my name and my employer, and my husband is named first on our married filing jointly return each year---will I still be able to use my benefit to do tax prep this year?   How do you know when you need more help than do it yourself?
I claimed a foreign tax credit last year but did not have a carryover so no election was made.   Thanks
Likewise, for the past hour.

None of this works or is helpful for Home & Business Desktop. I can see Form 8995 and what is populated (incorrectly) but there are no questions that link to Line 1(c) "Qualified business income or (loss)." This line shows "0." There is also no way to edit Form 8995 directly.   I have no K-1 in my return. Schedule C shows a Net Profit 0f $9,068 on Line 31, and Schedule 1 shows it on Line 3.    I suspect that TurboTax is excluding ALL SSTB income, even though Total Taxable Income is below the Joint Return max allowable for the Qualified Business Income Deduction.
