I encountered the same problem Donations. Since Turbo Tax cancelled It's Deductible, I used Deductible Duck to itemize my donations. When I downloaded them into Turbo Tax, I got the same "Needs Review" box next to each donation. Now I have to delete them and manually enter all my donations AGAIN. I have never encountered so many problems in the years I've been using Turbo Tax. I also would like to note that I called Turbo Tax and ended up in a loop on the phone that never allowed me to speak to a person. Why isn't Turbo Tax aware of these glitches and fixing them? With all the trouble this has caused and lack of service, why would I continue to use this software in the future? Very disappointed.

If you already e-filed you are stuck with "5 days early" if the return is accepted. If it rejects you can try to remove that option in the FILE section before you re-file.
"5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your federal refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site. If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.
You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Morning, I update the TT Deluxe 2025 desktop this morning and the two summary sections for income and deductions still will not update "Available Now" after entering the data. I am extremely disappointed in Intuit TurboTax customer service and tech support inability to address this error/bud in you software. State is MO. I still would like to speak to real person etc., and expect refund on the cost I paid for defective software. It is now end of Feb 2026 and all bug errors should be researched and fixed when reported otherwise customers reading this concern online will start questioning why use TurboTax in the future. Thanks, Gary

It sounds like you’re looking for information on the Volunteer Firefighter Tax Credit (associated with the form VFTC-1).
To claim this credit in TurboTax, go through the West Virginia interview questions. You'll come to a screen labeled Uncommon West Virginia Credits, which lists the Volunteer Firefighter Tax Credit. Select yes, when asked at the bottom of the screen "Do you qualify for any of these uncommon tax credits"? Next, enter the credit amount. The maximum is $1,000 per year, see the instructions here: Volunteer Firefighter Tax Credit Instructions

Yes. It is up to you to know exact cost basis for any redemptions/sales of digital currency. If you don't have a cost basis you can always use zero, which would not work to your advantage. Do the best you can to arrive at a cost basis for your transaction. Report this transaction using the steps shown below. Your IRS form 1099-DA reports gross proceeds, the digital asset, the number of units and the number of transactions. Select Wages & Income. Scroll to Investments and Savings. Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B) > Add investments. On the Save time and connect your financial accounts screen, select Enter a different way > Select Type it in myself, then Continue. OK, let's start with one investment type, select Digital Assets > Click Continue. On the screen Which bank or brokerage is on your 1099-DA, enter the information > Continue. On the screen Did you get a 1099-DA from XXX?, select Yes. Click Continue. Answer the questions at the screen Tell us about the sales on your 1099-DA

Awesome, thanks for your explanation. Makes sense. His room and board/meal plan is only $5667 (I forgot to include before) so do I only enter that when asked what was used towards it rather than the $8017? How does the $3948 pell grant affect the room and board expense? He finished school as semester early so this will be last time we can claim credit and school was out after May 1 so thankfully can still be a dependant. Thank you so much!

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

The contribution is reportable on the tax return for whichever year the contribution was made. If you are not sure of the year for which the contribution was made, ask your IRA custodian. Contributions made between January 1 and the regular due date of your tax return (generally, April 15) are by default treated as current-year contributions unless you specify to the IRA custodian that the contribution is to be for the prior year.

When entering the Summary of short term sales in TurboTax Premiere desktop, in Sales Section Total, DESPITE the caption to enter the "Total proceeds (sum of all Box 1d), aren't you supposed to SUBTRACT the proceeds from all WASH sales in that section and enter that resulting figure? This will result in the correct entry on Schedule D, line 1a, Totals. Same question re the entry for "Total cost or other basis". Please advise.

On the 2025 Michigan Homestead Property Tax Credit Claim, TurboTax entered the last part of my 9 digit zip code (2-1154 instead of 48442). I noticed this when I viewed a draft before submitting. This incorrect zip code did not trigger a review, so how can I go about correcting this? I’ve verified in the My Info section of TurboTax online that my full zip code there is correct. I tried re-entering my zip code there to see if it would correct itself, but it hasn’t. Please advise. Thank you!!

@justinsdad44 Unfortunately, there was a question in the interview is misleading for your situation... If your box 2a has a non-zero number in it..(not blank, nor marked as undetermined), and that number is somewhat lower than the box 1 number, due to an after-tax contribution amount that is noted in box 5...then edit that retirement form again, and when you get to the following page (below), answer it as-if the displayed edits were present (i.e. you needed to answer YES). Answering YES will use the box 2a $$ amount on your for 1040. Check lines 5a and 5b before and after entering that 1099-R. (But if you answered No, and already entered some $$ in the "General" or "Simplified" calculation area ,you might need to delete your CSA-1099-R first and re-enter it from scratch...not sure of that though) _________________________________________________
