@MarilynG1  I tried your second bulleted alternative suggestion (Force Non-Taxable Status) and it still became taxable in my case - I played with various options to no avail!   Anyway, wouldn't yet another alternative be to NOT enter this 'QTP-to-Roth IRA' 1099-Q at all at the Federal section? Given that all requirements are met and therefore it is indeed non-taxable, other experts have suggested to ignore it and just keep it for record keeping. Your thoughts please? Thank you.   EDIT/ADDING I found this in IRS Publication 970: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p970.pdf Chapter 7: Qualified Tuition Program (QTP) Page 53: Rollovers and Other Transfers / Rollovers Page 54 at the top says: "Don’t report qualifying rollovers (those that meet the above criteria) anywhere on Form 1040, 1040-SR, or 1040-NR. These aren’t taxable distributions." Also in Chapter 6, bottom of Page 44 says: "Don't report tax-free distributions (including qualifying rollovers) on your tax return."

Follow the instructions linked below.   After you enter your W-2, you will put a checkmark in the overtime box on the following screen (Let's check for other situations).      How do I enter overtime pay in TurboTax Online?   Look at the statement from your employer. If the statement tells you the “overtime premium”, “overtime deductible for OBBB”, or similar, that’s probably your overtime eligible for this deduction.   Go to the W-2 screen under under Wages & Income.  Add or edit your W-2 for your employer where you worked overtime.   After entering your W-2, look for the Let's check for other situations screen.   Check the box next to Overtime.   Continue until you see the Let’s see if your overtime qualifies as tax-free screen.

I filed my taxes on turbo tax and the last two returns I didn’t receive a federal return, I also need help with filing this years I was very adamant about checking to make sure it didn’t get denied, and I know it went threw. That’s why I’m not sure why I haven’t received it A return is the data you send to the IRS.  Funds they send to you is called a refund.   In your online TurboTax account, when you go to the Tax Home and scroll down to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents",  when you select each tax year, can you verify that the 2023 and 2024 returns were both accepted (if efiled)?   Or did you mail paper returns?   If accepted (or mailed) what is showing at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool when you look up the refund status for those years there? Be sure to indicate the correct tax year for each one, and the correct SSN and filing status.   And look at the 2023 and 2024 returns to see what the respective refund amount is.  It should be on each year's Form 1040, Line 35a.  What is the IRS saying about each year's refund there?   https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
My filing info from last year is missing. Prior years we could just enter carryover loss and now I cannot

@hslettel    That sounds exactly right. a BUT though.   It does depend on what state you live in.  This is for Mutual Bond Funds or ETFs  (not limited if they own individual bonds )  1)  For UT residents, they can include some other states  (states that don't tax Utah bonds) 2)  IL residents cannot do the breakdown at all for Mutual Fund Bond collections and ETFs ...only  for individual bonds they own. 3)  CA has severe limitations, and you don't appear to be anywhere near their limits.   They require that  at least 50% of bonds in the fund must be from CA or US Obligations. 4) MN used to be 50% too, but I've read they recently have changed to 95%  (not sure this bump-up is true yet)   Might be some strange things in a few other states.

If you select 'Revisit' at the beginning of the HSA section, select HSA for 'what type of plan?' You will then be asked if you received a 1099-SA.  If you did, you'll enter the info, verify address, and are asked if you used it for medical expenses.  If you didn't (or you already entered the info), the next screen should be a 1099-SA Summary.  The very next screen will be the screen to enter your personal HSA contributions.   If you're not getting these screens and you've already cleared your cache/cookies, delete the Form 8889 from your return and step through the section again.     @jsobier
trying to import it just goes to a list of file types that would be on my PC.  Never even asks for any info to log in to Schwab or account info.  I know I have done this in the past.  Whats up?
No.    When you enter a 1099R for a pension, you just say it was all an RMD.   A monthly pension meets the requirements for RMD.
