Property tax input can be posted in two areas if the Online version. Property Tax is often reported with the Mortgage Interest on Form 1098. You should post the 1098 property tax in this section It's presented in a summary under a separate tab labeled Property (Real Estate) Taxes. If you wish to edit the 1098 property tax, go back to the Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098) and make the changes. If you had additional Property tax (perhaps from a second home) it will be entered under Property (Real Estate) Taxes To post Property Taxes Log into TurboTax Under Federal > Deductions & Credits In dropdown select one of the two: Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098) Property (Real Estate) Taxes [Start] or [Edit] You can edit the amounts here.

Yes. You can include certain insurance premiums for medical, dental and vision on your Ohio State Taxes.
No. If the premiums are reimbursed, you cannot include them as expenses.
To be deductible the following must apply
They must be paid with after -tax dollars
If your employer takes the premiums out before taxes, you cannot deduct these
For the premiums to be fully deductible, you cannot be enrolled or eligible for enrollment in an employer paid health plan or Medicare.
Ex. You are self-employed and you purchased insurance through the Marketplace and are paying your own premiums. You cannot include an amount that you receive the Premium Tax Credit for.
If self-employed, these premiums must be reduced by any Self-Employed Health Insurance deduction you take on your federal return.
If you are covered by Medicare or a plan at work and the employer does not take the premiums out pre-tax (meaning, there is not a deduction in box 1 of your W-2 for the premiums) you can deduct these premiums but they are combined with the rest of your medical expenses and are only deductible for the amount that is over 7.5% of your AGI.
Ex. Your AGI is $50,000, only the amount of your total medical expenses that are over $3,750 are deductible.
You must reduce your premiums by any refunds or dividends you received, not just direct employer reimbursements.

Never got my state yet filed Jan 29th and apparently some people are getting the state fast mine still shows as posted a picture I did speak to a lady last night she said they are aware of the glitch and working on it if your irs and pdf of taxes shows the amount you’re approved for then you are okay however she said if you don’t get that full amount call back so we can work it out… So I have to call TurboTax so solve this issue if I don’t get all of the money I am OWED!? This has never happened before I even had to pay almost 300 to file my taxes granted I did do the 5 days thing in which I think that was a mistake because it seems like this is only happening to the people that purchased that I blame who we have in office I don’t even qualify for the child tax credit to earned income tax credit and I apparently made less this year than I did last year with my raise same hours though make that make sense. All I know is that TurboTax better get their s**t together because this is ridiculous and never happened before

And you have 3 years after the due date of your 2024 tax return to file an amendment.
Please read this TurboTax Help topic on how to amend a prior-year tax return.

It sounds like your state reported BOTH your state refund AND the interest on that state refund on one 1099-G.
You will need to enter that as if you received TWO form 1099-G.
If this was a refund you received in 2025 and was based on tax Year 2024 (most people filed their 2024 taxes in 2025) first look to see if you used the Standard Deduction on your Federal return for that year.
If you use the Standard Deduction for the year of the state refund, the refund is NOT taxable and you can skip entering the refund portion of your 1099-G (you would still need to enter the interest).
If you Itemized Deductions on your Federal return for the year of the sate refund (used Schedule A) then some or all of the state refund may be taxable.
If you need to report both, go to
Wages & Income 1099-MISC and Other Common Income Sate and Local Tax Refunds on Form 1099-G START or UPDATE
Enter the information on the 1099-G but NOT the interest.
To report the interest go to
Wages & Income
Interest and Dividends
Interest on 1099-INT START or UPDATE
Enter the information on the 1099-G but NOT the refund

Well like many others on the forum and probably others as well. I have the filing rejected issue with the QMID code that it says should be fixed by the 13th. What is being done to correct this issue as others have stated other tax services do not have this issue? I paid for a product and currently unable to e-file.

Hi, I have a question about order of operations when it comes to how to amend my 2024 federal/state returns from standard deduction to itemized deduction and whether that impacts how I should file my 2025 returns now, which will also be itemized deduction. Beginning of 2025: 2024 federal/state were both filed Married Filing Jointly with standard deduction and we received a refund from both federal and state. Beginning of 2026: Began gathering documents for filing 2025 taxes and found an additional Mortgage statement that pushed us over the standard deduction amount into itemized deduction range and would give us a large additional refund, so it's worth doing the amendment for 2024. The question: Which scenario makes the most sense? I don't know if filing a return based on a future accepted amendment will cause issues or not with the IRS 1. File 2025 taxes now with current state of 2024 standard deduction returns and have to amend 2025 later in the year. I believe this option complicates things as our state return could become taxable which would then mean a potential payment is needed back to both federal/state? 2. File 2025 taxes now with known updated 2024 itemized deduction returns and allow IRS to process amended return at the same time? 3. Wait to file 2025 taxes until I see that the amended 2024 return has been received by the IRS and is in processing. I know it won't be processed for a long while this year. Thanks for any insight you may have!
