I need to make a change on an actual form rather than go through the questionaire. How can I access the underlying forms?

If there is no amount in box 1 of your W-2 you can ignore it and don’t report it on your return.

The pension wrote the check out to our investment company so we only mailed it to add to the account. No contributions were made to this account. Only the rollover for about $16k.

You could enter your options as a summary. Here's How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions.

Yes, you will enter the amount on your W-2 from Box 14. After you enter your Form W-2 you will be asked some additional questions. On the screen that says "Let's check for uncommon situations" you will check the box "Religious Employment" You will also see a screen that says "Let's dig into your religious employment" on that screen you will select "Clergy."
This will let TurboTax know that your housing allowance in Box 14 is not taxable.
A minister's housing allowance (sometimes called a parsonage allowance or a rental allowance) is excludable from gross income for income tax purposes.
Your TurboTax screens will look something like this:

I'm 71 and my spouse is 64. She will be paying in to her SEP IRA to the max this year. She also has a small trad IRA, I do not. Turbotax is suggesting that if we contribute about $16000 between us (8k each) to trad iras we will save about $4000 in taxes this year. I've never paid attention to traditional iras. Is it safe to follow the lead of ttax and add 8000 to her tira and 8000 to a new tira for myself?

After spending an hour on the phone with Tech Support this tax season, was referred to the IRS to have them check how many returns have been filed under my phone number. Honestly, felt like this was a long shot, as couldn't imagine the IRS tracking federal tax returns via phone numbers. Really? People change their phone numbers constantly, so that would be absurd that the IRS would track federal returns in that manner. Once discussed with an IRS respresentative today, said the same thing. This issue is definitely a TURBOTAX ISSUE, not the IRS. So, am at the same point as last year, 2024 for 2023 tax year. Have to manually print out all tax returns and mail them to the IRS. After only submitting one efile, unable to efile the remaining four tax returns. Not a paid tax preparer, but have our own taxes, four kids and our elderly parents and help with their taxes for the past 10 years out of the kindness of our hearts. This is the second year with similar error message and after using TurboTax for the past 10 years, I WILL NEVER USE TURBOTAX AGAIN!!

No, that box is used by the Payroll Department and can hold almost anything.
SOMETIMES it reports taxes, but usually the people that are subject to these types of tax know they pay them and they know how to report Box 14.
Since the amount is over 2,000, I suggest you ask the employer's payroll department.
It sounds like some sort of Reimbursement, and you might just use the "other" category in the TurboTax program.

Have you tried looking at your son's Form 1040 to see if the box is checked that says he can be claimed as someone's dependent?

You can choose Other. It doesn’t affect your tax liability.

I am trying to install Turbo Tax Desktop Business for complete taxes for my C corp. I have a turbotax personal account and I used TurboTax to file for my C corp in 2022. I did not use turbotax to file my business return for 2023. When I click to install/pay for 2024 Turbo Tax business, it just turns and turns. I called turbotax twice. the 2nd person suggested that I turn off the firewalls. I did that and the software still will not install. It just turns and turns. I need help with installation. I still have the 2022 TurboTax Desktop installed on my computer. I can still get into that version. But I can't seem to open / install the 2024 to do the 2024 taxes. Can you help me. NOTE - I can get in TurboTax Busines - Online. But, this is a C corp and it is my understanding that I need the Desktop version.

Manual install of update worked for me today.....I downloaded the superpatch for TT 2024 (I'm using Premier 2024)...extracted files...restarted TT and was able to eFile my taxes....finally after an hour of searching for clues... I tried: -restarting computer - running updates did not want to uninstall/reinstall as i have had problems with that before. I had my most complex filing this year...so possibly software needed the patch due to number of stock transactions (found this is another post).... hope the superpatch works for you!

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, make sure your program is updated. You can do a Manual Update.
If this doesn't resolve the error, go back to your K-1 entry and enter $0 in Box R on the K1 and Report $23,000 on line 6a and $7500 on line 6c of the worksheet.
If you're using TurboTax Online, clear your Cache and Cookies and step through the section again.
Let us know if it doesn't resolve for you.
