Any income that shows on your federal return should carry over to your Michigan return if it is taxable in Michigan, the same with deductions. It depends what type of income it is as to where it will show up on both returns.
Try and match the numbers form the Michigan return to the numbers on your federal return. It should be an easy enough trail to follow to see what numbers have transferred to where.

Great job troubleshooting! I found one more thing you can try. Turn off the Windows Virus and Threat Protection features in the Control Panel.

Fortunately, I had another credit card with an expiration date in first half of the year. So I used that. This is a crazy problem for Turbotax to not resolve.

A single member LLC whose only member is a partnership is no longer a disregarded entity. Disregarded entities can file however best works for them. If an LLC is owned by a partnership then that LLC needs to show the partner's share of income and expenses and whatnot.
I don't see why that can't be shown on the parent partnership's tax return since the LLC is a subsidiary. Just make certain that you indicate clearly where the income moving from the LLC is so that I could see it if I needed to. That way you avoid unnecessary questions later.

We donated mutual fund shares to a DAF, so I entered "securities, other than stock". There is no "Fair Market Value" option for either "stock" or "other than stock". Another thread suggested we use "Average Share Price" is that correct? What if I don't have the purchase price? The fund just sent me a confirmation with the total value. I have owned the shares for more than a year. Also wondering if what to select from uncommon situations (picture below) for the gift since we direct future charitable donations from this fund (is that a restriction?):

Thanks -- I just tried both options. If I answer no, I get another question about whether this amount was converted to a Roth IRA. If I answer yes to that, TurboTax is not adding the conversion amount to taxable income (it should, but it's not). . It seems to be considering it an in-plan rollover to a tax-deferred rather than after-tax account and does not calculate how how much we would owe in taxes on the conversion. In the 1040, that amount is no longer listed in income. Answering "Yes" to that first question does treat the amount as a taxable event, and in the 1099R summary worksheet, it shows the amount as a being contributed to a Roth IRA. It's just that the language in the question never mentions a Roth IRA, and then when it asks separately about a Roth IRA, it doesn't treat it correctly. If I answer yes to the first question, in the 1040, the total amount (Roth conversion plus standard withdrawals) is listed as taxable income as it should be.

Why has there been no further input from one of the EXPERTS? As said, there are other threads with users with same issue as well, so not some isolated thing.

I have four accounts at Schwab. Downloaded three of them and the next day downloaded the fourth. However, downloading the fourth deleted the other three. I specifically check to download only the one fourth account. Is this a problem with TT? Do you have to download all accounts from a given brokerage firm at once. This is a very frustrating problem with TT - either doubling up downloaded accounts or deleting ones that should not be deleted.

TuRBOTAX FAIL. Can't preview return. Can't see any forms. They want money $$ first. I hate it. Using turbotax online. Not very helpful. I want to see how the software treated a sale of rental. I deleted forms but the tax due did not change. How do I fix this mess ? I bought H&R Block. it is so easy and clear. Can see the forms.

After entering the information for our 2025 Social Security lump sum payment (Windfall elimination) for the prior 2024 year, the Turbotax program asks: "Did you have any adjustments in 2024?" My question is: Does this adjustment refer to my 2024 1040-SR, line 10 (Adjustments to income from Schedule 1, line 26)? I ask because that topic is not one of those topics listed in the "Enter any of the following adjustments on your return in 2024. These are not common." and then it lists 7 types of adjustments. If it does refer to 1040-SR, line 10 adjustment amount (or Schedule 1 adjustments to income), why not just say that?

The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/25/2026
An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-curr...

Amyc, RobertB4444 - tax experts my inquiry open for 5 hours and 3 hours since last update. I will be signing off, will connect back on Monday 2 -23 -2026 - to find if explanation is available. My return is very simple, I'm retired, just some 1099's DIV and INT forms, one of which is tax exempt which is not working and adds to federal income- state KY works okay. Does TurboTax 2025 have a solution?

I have got my tax return back already since I filed over a month ago, but forgot to add one of my W2s since I had multiple jobs. The news said after Feb 19th 2026 that this would be available to efile, but it is still not available? I do not want to send in a physical form to mail in, so when is this actually going to be ready to go on turbotax??
