Expert full service is one of the worst service experiences that I have seen.  The expert is not responsive to chat messages, misses appointments, and it took them a week to begin working on my tax.  And then, there was mistakes, and then the expert disappears again, ignoring questions left on chat.  The portal is horrible.  Now I want to cancel the full service.  After spending 1 hour on the phone with customer support from Turbo tax, I was told that I could only wait for my expert to cancel the service.  But my expert keeps ignoring my chat messages.  I have intensive business travels coming up.  I wanted to finish my tax by end of March.  But I have wasted 2 weeks of time with the expert full service.  Today is March 30, and I am still waiting for my expert to respond to my chat message.   Unbelievable!!!!!

Help!  I accidentally put a "0" in the estimated paid after 12/31/25 (c) and 0 is the (e) paid with return. I have tried to override this mistake, but it won't let me. Therefore, I am unable to forward my federal taxes.  The state has been sent.  I am in an endless loop. Thank-you
I have a good answer with details and detailed explanation of the rules.. I’ll reply shortly with a document I wrote. There are ways as long as you do a few key things.
Sorry I believe I'm confused. I have only been here on this J1 Visa for the Au Pair program for a year and a half. Wouldn't that mean I file as a non-resident then?

Your other remedy for this problem is to file by mail and let the IRS sort out the duplicate use of your SSN.   Print, sign and date your return in ink, and mail it in.     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Thanks for your help with my 1099-R problem. As you suggested, I did have to delete the two 1099-Rs that contained a reduced value in Box 2a. By entering them and selecting "Yes" for Tax was paid on Gross Distribution, TTX no longer required me to use the Simplified Method Worksheet.

You are welcome! I just picked random numbers for an example. Yes, the "previous year" references in the in-program Help are assuming that a refund received in 2025 was for 2024 taxes, because that's usually the case. Yes, you can enter the tax payments made for the tax year for which you received a refund in 2025.
It should account for the rounding, but if it is not, you can add $1 to the sales tax amount to remove the error.     Can I claim the sales tax deduction?

It sounds like partial shares (i.e. less than a full share) was liquidated and the cash proceeds transferred.  It might be listed as cash in lieu. If this is the case, you would have a small sales transaction to report.  If that's not the case, please clarify and provide more information about what you are seeing and where on the Form 1099-B.

Sorry.  The "Live" experts do not prepare or help with past year returns.   You can use do-it-yourself desktop software or you may seek local paid tax help.     You cannot change the tax year.   The current online program is for 2025 only.   Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.   Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and  2024 is permanently closed. Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.   To file a return for a prior tax year  If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024  you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s) https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.   Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0     https://www.irs.gov/refunds   Refunds for tax years 2021 or earlier have been forfeited and will not be paid to you even if shown on the tax return form.  But if you owe tax due, you will still have to pay, and you will be billed later for the interest and penalties owed.  TurboTax will not calculate the penalties or  interest.   That will be done by the IRS/state after they receive your return with your payment of the tax due as shown on the tax form(s).

I have gotten to the final step, Step 3 Filing but after it prompts the I.D. information and I click to go on the website enters an endless loading loop. The only way to get out of the loop is to try and click on the left column when the words, "Tax Home" come up and even then I have to click it a few times. I've cleared webrowser cache, tried different browsers, tried different computers in different locations but have the same looping problem. Just earlier I logged in and the website immediately went into the same loading loop. The last "Expert chat" I had from a few days ago still populates on the right side with the message saying the expert left but when I click to exit the chat it doesn't go away and I can't request assistance.
