You may be due another credit for your HVAC unit purchased in 2025. To enter your heat pump, go to the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax and then Your Home, then Home Energy Credits. Work through that section until you come to a screen that says Do you have any of these residential energy property costs in 2025? One of the items listed is Qualified central air conditioners. Answer "yes" to that question and proceed through the next screens to enter your HVAC unit information.

Thank you for providing your token number. I took a closer look at the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gains Worksheet included as part of your return and did not see any issue with the number shown on line 3.
Even though the value shown on line 3 does match the number shown on your Form 1040 line 7a, it also happens to be the same as Schedule D line 16 (which is less than Schedule D line 15). So, the calculation is correct.

To fix your duplicate dependents showing on your TurboTax state return, you can try removing them from your return and adding them back. You will do this from your My Info or Personal Info section of TurboTax.
Also try deleting Form 2114 from your return and then going back through the screens in TurboTax using the instructions listed below:
If you are using TurboTax Online you can delete a Form 2114 as follows:
In your left panel of your TurboTax screen click on "Tax Tools"
And then Click on "Tools"
Click on "Delete a Form"
Scroll through your list of Forms
Click the garbage can next to "Form 2114"
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can delete a Form 2114 as follows:
Click on "Forms" in the upper right of your TurboTax screen to switch to "Forms Mode"
In your left panel scroll down and look for "Form 2114"
In your right panel at the bottom of Form 2114, click on "Delete Form"
Click on "Yes" to confirm the deletion.
You can go back to the screens in TurboTax for the dependent care credit as follows to re-enter any information or correct any entries:
Click on Search at the top right of your TurboTax screen
Type dependent care in the search box
Click on the link that says Jump to dependent care
Your screen will say Did you pay for dependent care in 2025? Answer and Continue
Answer all follow-up questions
If this does not clear the error, you may have to clear your state return and start it over.

I had the exact same issue. I also received the complete transcript from IRS.gov in the mail. Then I ran through the numbers per the 2025 Publication 915 worksheet on a separate spreadsheet, following every rule as stated. The IRS numbers are correct, and TurboTax is incorrect. This is such a basic, simple, straightforward publication from the IRS. I have relied on TurboTax for years. But I must strongly agree with everyone on this thread that this sort of accounting mistake is completely UNACCEPTABLE. Nothing like this should ever happen, especially when paying for Max Benefits. And then to be told later that nothing can be done once the IRS has delivered its final outcome is like saying there is no good reason to use TurboTax in the first place, because TT can just make up numbers and stand aside when the IRS delivers the facts. What good, then, are TT Max Benefits? TurboTax, shame on you!

If you sold your primary personal residence and you lived in and owned the home for at least two years in the five year period on the date of sale, you do not have to report the sale if your gains are less then the exclusion amounts of $250,000 if filing Single or $500,000 if filing Married Filing Jointly (and both lived in the home for two years).
Gain or Loss = Sales Price minus Sales Expenses minus Adjusted Basis (Purchase Price plus the cost of improvements prior to the sale)
Selling cost can include escrow fees, legal fees, real estate agent commissions, advertising costs, and even home staging fees.
If you had a gain greater then the exclusion amounts then you would have to report the sale. Also, if you received a Form 1099-S for the sale either with a gain or a loss, the sale has to be reported. You will need the online TurboTax Premium edition to report the sale if you are using the online editions. Make sure that you indicate that you want the sale of the home reported on your tax return.
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business) Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business) Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Scroll down to Less Common Income On Sale of Home (gain or loss), click the start or update button
If you paid real estate taxes (Property Taxes) on the home in 2025 -
To enter, edit or delete Property Taxes - Click on Federal Taxes Click on Deductions and Credits Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown) Under Your Home If paid through your lender On Mortgage Interest, Refinancing, and Insurance, click on the start or update button If paid directly On Property Taxes, click on the start or update button

It's possible, but the only other option you have is to manually enter what is missing.

Hi. None of the options that involve tabbing or scrolling worked on my laptop. Didn't try patch. Touch pad scrolls to 09 - just off the edge of the Month box and I can select it but unfortunetly, I need to enter 12. My external mouse scroll wheel and external trackball scroll wheel don't scroll the month numbers) This worked today, 4/7/26: For Turbotax Deluxe efile credit card payment, click on the Month box, type in the number, hit enter.

If you did have coverage and you need to report information for a Form 1095-A:
Go to the Do you have Form 1095-A info ready? screen
Answer the questions and enter the details from your Form 1095-A
When you’re done, select File from the left menu and continue through to re-file your return
If there was no coverage, you can follow the steps below to certify that you did not receive a 1095-A:
Select Federal from the left menu, then Deductions & Credits.
Navigate to Medical and select Show More.
Select Start or Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
You'll be asked if you received a 1095-A. Select No.
Select the statement indicating you did not receive a 1095-A. By selecting this certification, you will be able to e-file your return and meet the requirements of reject code F8962-070.
Select File from the left menu and continue through the process to resubmit your return.

I have never seen this type of thing happen with the desktop version. Can you go back and review your entire MA return clicking through the entire series of questions and then try again. You could also delete the state and start just the MA return over. If neither of those things work, can you send up a screenshot of the messages/errors you are receiving?

@RogerD1 @VolvoGirl Thank you both for responding, I appreciate it very much. Someone else at TurboTax told me to use Box 2a (the lower taxable amount) and something in my gut told me that didn’t seem accurate. I felt I needed an additional opinion, and do appreciate both of you chiming in! Thank you!

You probably clicked on Amend to get back into your return. You should click on Add a State (you won't actually be adding a state) to let you back in.

I didnt realize till after i paid and there is no way according to support to give me a partial refund. I've been using turbo tax for 14 years and think my issue could be resolved pretty easily and they could keep getting money from me every year if they just refunded this thing i didn't ask for in the first place.

1. On a Computer (Browser)
The "Sign Out" button is usually located at the very bottom of the left-hand navigation bar (the black sidebar).
You may need to scroll down within that sidebar itself to see it.
It often says "Sign Out" or "Save and Sign Out."
2. On a Mobile Device (App or Browser)
Tap the "Menu" icon (the three horizontal lines or "hamburger" menu) in the upper left corner.
Scroll to the very bottom of that menu.
Tap Sign Out.
